Chapter 1: a new start
It's hasn't necessarily been the best year for Mikayla.

Her grandparents both died in January. Her grandmother had a heart attack and her grandfather got a heart attack from seeing her grandmother getting a heart attack.

Her mother died in late July due to a car crash and her father died just a month ago from an overdose.

Mikayla had went to live with her aunt for a few months its December now 10 days till Christmas. But her aunt couldn't support her anymore so she kicked her out and this is where we are now.

That night Mikayla had rented a hotel for as long as she could with the money her aunt had given her. With a ding of her phone her bet friend had texted her:

Summer : how ya holding up

Mikayla: not so good, I'm renting a hotel room for the time being I'm probably getting kicked out on Christmas

Summer: aww that sucks

Mikayla: yeah.. I'm going to spend Christmas alone and homeless

Summer : you can come over to my house

Mikayla: nah that would be a bother

Summer: oh yeah I forgot to tell you!!

Mikayla: what?!?

Summer : I'm moving into an apartment with my brother soon!!

Mikayla: really?!?! Congratulations!!

Summer : thx

Mikayla: wait... you never told me you had a brother..

Summer; oh yeahhhh he's also my twin

Now your probably wondering why Mikayla doesn't know and you're probably saying right now "but they're best friends and best friends go to each others houses" well yes they do you'll see in a second

Mikayla: how come I never see him at your house

Summer: because he's a player always with other girls all the time on nights

Mikayla : ohhh, well I gtg bye
