              ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Reader's P.O.V
I wonder why he's living in such a condition? I wish I could help and aid him from his suffering. His family too, of course, I want to help them as well, cute little Karen is too adorable and cheerful for this treatment! Oh Kenny... why does an angel like you have to live this way?
I was looking around the broken house of the McCormicks and observed what they had, an old T.V, a mini fridge, a tattered sofa, hardly any food and not enough heating or water, clothes and comfort! I can't bare seeing these lovely people live in such a way.
Sitting down, I thought of how I could help them, Kenny's Mum and Dad were broke and were desperate for a proper job, they were poor because of that and couldn't pay the bills with any ease. If the bills weren't paid by the end of the month then they would be forced to live in the streets! I don't want that happening to my dear Kenny or his family, they have all been so kind to me when I first started school, supported me when I needed it and kept me company when I was alone in the house (A/N: or mansion, should I say) because mum and dad were always at work. I did love my mother and father, even though they were extremely exhausted they took their spare time and spent it with me. However, when their off to work again to some other country, it became a big help that the McCormicks were there to look after me, reassuring my parents that I was safe. Although, at first, they didn't trust the McCormicks, through time they welcomed each other with open arms and got along together very well.
At this exact instant, Kenny's parents were applying for a job at store down town, a place that paid good money if the job was done right, if they get the job than they would receive at least $400 per month just above enough to pay back their bills, for the starting pay but it can offer $4500.
" I'm back!" I heard a muffled shout from the kitchen door way, turning to it I was meet with the hidden face of Kenny; my crush. He walked over to me, handling a cup of hot coco inside a plain white mug with the handle broken off, ", here's your hot coco and...I'm sorry about the cup." he apologized, his voice, again, muffled. It took some time for me to understand him at my first time meeting him but I eventually got the hang of it and became his personally translator since I understood him more than others. Hehehe.
" Don't worry about it, it's fine with me." I assured him, taking the cup and wrapping my hands around it, enjoying the feeling of comfort course through once my fingers at the warmth the hot, handle-less mug provided, " Thanks for this by the way... why don't you have one?" I asked realizing he didn't have a hot chocolate in his gloved hands, which he also wore in the house.
" Well we kinda ran out of hot chocolate mix heh-heh-heh" he chuckled nervously knowing why he did, I kept my mouth shut, looking guiltily at the mug in my hands, a frown painting across my face, " It's alright, we don't drink a lot of hot chocolate here."
" A-are you sure?" I asked, looking at him, guilt still in my eyes.
" I swear it's fine."
" O-OK..."
" Now lets watch a movie!"
" Sure!"
~ Still your P.O.V ~
I was walked home by Kenny himself and entered the house (mansion) after giving Kenny a good bye hug. I watched him leave through the curtains so that he couldn't see me, his hands were in his pockets, his back laid back slightly and he took long strides at a steady pace, away, in the direction of his house. After watching him go, I walked into the living room and sat on the sofa where my mum and dad were cuddling up on. I sighed quite heavily, I thought it was soundless but I guess I was wrong since that got my parents' attention, they faced me, instantly ignoring the T.V
" What's wrong dear?" my mother asked.
" W-well, I was just thinking of helping Kenny with his you know, situation..." I replied looking at them both, my eyes furrowing in sadness, a pout visible on my face.
" What do you have in mind?" my father asked.
" I-I was thinking if I-we could, I don't know, maybe buy them a house?" I asked uncertain if they would agree.
" I don't know dear but they have been great people. Remember that time when they took us out to dinner? Saying that they'd pay for everything even if they couldn't even pay their bills?" my mother mentioned as my dad looked to be thinking about something.
" Well, they were very generous and our little girl does feel very comfortable around them, they do feel like family and family always comes first. They even got her mind off of the death of someone very dear to all of us and we didn't like seeing you grieve over the past." my father added, which reminded me of how Kenny got my mind off my grandmother's death, a great soul that has been sent to heaven, I miss her.
" So is that a?..." I asked, hopeful that the answer was...
" Yes, it's a yes dear but you have to take all the responsibility about this. Here's the plan," they looked at each other, nodding to assure themselves of their decision, ", we lend you $650,000 for the house but you have to provide the money to fully furnish it, after that we will all help pay the bills after the first few months." Yes!!
" Thank you! Thank you so much!!! I won't let you down!" I promised until a question came to my mind, " How do I find the money though?" I asked, I know I'm 16 (all the characters are 16) but I don't know how to get a job yet.
" That's another problem that is easily solved!" my father said, capturing my attention, " I know a fine fellow that runs the giggling donkey, he agreed to give you a job as a waitress if you ever need it, he pays well at least $24.50 an hour and would look out for you. He's like a brother to me and so is Kenny's dad so I know that I could trust him." I can't believe it! " I'll give him a call and let him know you're going to start work, is next Monday okay?" He asked as I nodded enthusiastically, " also if you don't mind can you pick a house for them? Make sure it's bigger than their original home but not too big or too posh so that their still comfortable and that our $650,000 can afford it."
" Alright! Thanks so much!!!" they smiled, watching me leave the room and run up to my room. Switching on my iMac Pro, I searched for a perfect house for Kenny, one that was near by. I wasn't having any luck until I remembered that in the other neighborhood, a family moved out leaving their house unoccupied, they weren't poor but had amazing and cozy houses. I looked up their address, successfully finding the picture of their house. It only cost around $600,000 which was perfect! I squealed in joy and told my mum and dad, having almost fall down the stairs in excitement. They agreed that it was perfect and gave me the extra $50,000 to help with buying furniture.
Watch out Kenny, you're up for a big surprise!
