Edward Ferrars a perfect aimable young gentleman for dear Elinor. Mariannne was almost positive that they had been talking of marriage wishful thinking Mariannne Elinor was reading down under the tree when Mariannne found her dear Ellie! Tell me at once Are you are engaged to Edward? No said Elinor I was sure that you was in secret. Nothing like that had been said between he has obligations and family duties what obligations? I do not know but please do not hope for something that may never happen, Edward was charming, thoughtful, considerate, family originated and handsome too. Elinor tries not think of him as her cousin but as her interest in love. She was in love with him no matter Fanny or his mother was going to say nothing was going to stop her from loving him not even about how unwealthy she was she had no fortune but neither lucy Steele until edward made his mind up that he wanted to  marry her. Mariannne was talking to Elinor about him. Do you like him? Yes I do he has a private part inside him which I rather like he does not disclose feelings to you then mama and myself were watching from staircase window oh dear ellie! You looked so happy in conversation with him.

Mama! Is it not true that we saw ellie and edward together? Yes it is smiled their mother. Fanny looked on in disgust distasteful eyes I'm afraid Elinor that are persuaded to be in love with Edward aren't you! Questions Mrs John Dashwood. Aunt! Said Elinor me and cousin Edward are just friends is not so edward! Said Elinor looking at Edward over the table. Mariannne knew that this was not the case at all she knew her sister loved him she his very well considering Fanny was opting for another bride and wealthy bride for her brother John said my dear perhaps we should see how things go between miss Elinor and edward. Henry was in bed when they were dining downstairs in the dining room. Elinor was uneasy for the rest of the evening Mrs Dashwood felt for eldest daughter as she endured the painful ways of aunt questioning her over Edwards fancy for her or near it that she was in love with him. After they had dined they went into the drawing room for Coffee at night dear lord no maybe coco but not coffee no.

Mariannne! Would you play for us? If you wish aunt smiles Mariannne hated her aunt Fanny she's often describing her as "insufferable" and "A woman of morals". Margaret on the other was busy writing although she did say to her aunt that she was going to be a writer when she first dined at Norland. Lord! Aunt is so cold hearted she's like a cold fish. Margaret said yes and she's got a face like a fish, Mrs Dashwood laughed at the thought of her step sons wife having  face like a fish. That morning the post had arrived one letter for Mrs Mary Dashwood. What is it mama? It is a letter from my cousin Sir John Middleton who has offers us a cottage on his estate Barton cottage.

What do you think Elinor?  I think we should consider it mama I shall write to Sir John immediately and accept his offer of Barton Cottage. But! Without seeing it first! Wouldn't that be wiser mama! Said Elinor I am determined to leave Norland before this week is out. Mariannne and Elinor looked on in utter amazement at their mama I have never seen her so happy ellie! Said Mariannne. Yet again they dined with fanny and Mr John Dashwood.
