The Therapist

Chapter 10

We watched tv all night and fell asleep on the couch. When I woke up he was laying on the couch, while I was laying with my head on his chest. I hurried to the bathroom to brush my teeth and fix my hair. By the time I got out of the bathroom Jerry was awake. He was in the kitchen. 📺📺📺📺

I walked in the kitchen slowly to see what he was doing.😞😞

There were pancakes🥞🥞, bacon🥓🥓, and eggs🥚🥚. Jerry caught me sneaking in.

Jerry~ "Come in and eat."😃😃😃

I came in, sat at the table and began to eat. Jerry walked to the table with two plates in his hand.

Jerry~ "I set up an appointment for your therapist."😁

Nichole~ "What therapist?"😢

Jerry~ "Come on Nichole stop playing. Yesterday you said you will go to a therapist. So I made you an appointment."

Nichole~ "I didn't know you were for real."😭😭😭

Jerry~ "Its today at...."

Nichole~ "Today?"🤢🤢🤢

Jerry~ "Yeah at 2pm."

I pouted. Jerry was really serious about a therapist. Maybe I can just run back to the hotel and hide. Maybe if he loved me enough, all I have to do is cry, then he won't make me go🤧. This plan will not work. First of all what do I look like running 3 miles.

Nichole~ "So when we were texting...."

I tried to change the subject.

Nichole~ "Did you ever think that I would come here?" [Said while cutting a pancake]

Jerry~ "No. I thought I was going to have to come to you. "[eating bacon]🥓🥓🥓

The way Jerry looked up at me after got done talking made me forget we were having a conversation.

Nichole~ "Aaaaaa."

Nichole~ "Well how did you know to come to IHOP?"

Jerry~ "Your friend Melissa told me to come there to surprise you."

Nichole~ "Oh, Ok."

My phone rung it was Melissa.

Nichole~ "Hello?"

Melissa~ "Where are You?"

Nichole~ "At Jerry's house. Don't wait up I'm going to a therapist at 2."

Melissa~ "A therapist?"😯

Nichole~ "That's what I said."

Jerry got up to clean the dishes.

Melissa~ "Well when are you coming back to the Hotel?"

Nichole~ "I'm not sure."

Melissa~ "Have fun."

Melissa hung up. I sat reading all 23 messages Melissa sent me.
