The Night She Lives

She sits and watches he who smiles, he who loves,

his love is greater that any she’s seen in the life she leads.

All the princes and all the kings, never seem to understand their own deeds.

They throw riches away as if they were weeds, and they are of all, above.

They show the pride of their kin, but not brotherly love.

A rich man he may be, but he is the only one who sees.

A life of charity for a rich man? He is the only one who leads

The life of a kind and understanding man, a life of love.

He has love and she has men, and her jealousy is wearing her thin.

It tears her heart in two directions. Her tears are flowing as a stream

And all this time she fears he’ll see, how much she wants to scream.

He tells her of a different life, and a man who will save

Will she leave her destructive ways, the night she lives? Is she that brave?

Surely If she stays, if she continues as a woman of shame, it will take her to her grave.
