{Jessica's POV}

I've been having plenty of fun with my friends Halie and Ciara. We've been friends since the 6th grade and we've split once we had to go to High school. We've reunited and now we're playing at the local arcade in my town. We've been playing all day and catching up on what we missed. My phone begins to buzz in my pocket and I slid it out to check who was calling. It was my mom, but she knows where I am, does she not trust me? I roll my eyes then answer the phone. "Yes mother?" I ask. "Sweetie come quick... I- I just got stabbed in my stomach by this girl...s-she just came out of nowhere and I need a d-doctor!" My mom was screaming into the phone. I stood up quickly from my seat and started heading for the door. "Hey! Yo! Jess! Where ya goin? We still have so much to catch up on!" Halie shouted from across the arcade. I ignored them. It was my main mission to save my mother. I'm going to kill the son of a bitch that hurt her. I hear a couple of footsteps from behind me, trying to keep up. Ciara touched my shoulder then forced me to turn around. "Jessica what's wrong. Ever since you picked up the phone your attitude changed." She said. "My mom is on the floor in pain, I don't have the time right now." I responded shakily. I turned right around and headed out to my car. I unlocked my door then hopped in to save my mother. I swear. I will kill the person that hurt my mother. They will not see another day.

I drive my way down to my house then park my car in front of my house. I quickly get out of my car and run to the door where my mom was laying in. "Mom! Are you okay!" I ask her as I get on my knees to her level, trying to stop the pain near her stomach. "Don't ask me questions.. CALL THE POLICE I NEED A DAMN DOCTOR!" My mom shouts at me. I look over at the counter and spot the home phone. I get up from the ground then try to grab the phone but my hands were too shaky from trying to process what's happening right now. I grab the phone then immediately call the police over to come grab my mother. I turn to my mom, watching her in pain, watching tears fall from her eyes, wanting the pain to end. I didn't think I'd ever see my mom like this. This early anyway. She can't die on me now. She won't.

As I sat with my mom to keep her company, red and blue lights started to hit the windows and got my attention. I hopped up to alert the ambulance and the cops that my mom was inside. They run in trying to help her. Two men picked her up carefully and put her down on a gurney. Soon they push her out to the truck then rush off to the hospital fast as possible. I watch the truck go past my house, worried about my mom's condition. A man in a uniform walked up to me with a notepad. "Ma'am we would like to ask you some questions about how your mom got like that." The man asked me. "I-i just know she called and said a girl stabbed her for no reason. That's all I got." I stuttered. The man nodded then wrote on his notepad. He walked off to his car then drove off. I take out my phone then I text Aiden about what just happened. I hope he's okay too.
