Alpha Devin's POV

"I'll miss you, baby." Bonny says while she clings onto me.

"I'll miss you too sweetie." I tell her and then I kiss her on the forehead. "I'll only be gone for three days so don't worry. I promise you will be back in my arms in no time."

"Okay. I love you." I look into this woman's hazel eyes and I can't help but smile. Her face is so beautiful, her tan skin so soft, her short chocolate brown hair so straight and shiny. Her body pressed against mine feels so good and her scent is all around me, the smell of honey and chocolate. She's exotic and as tall as me, with luscious long legs. She's strong and has the spirit and strength of a warrior. She's the perfect she wolf, the perfect Luna. She's done a good job so far with helping me guide, protect, and rule over this pack. I'm so happy to call her my wife.

"I love you too." I reply, and then I kiss her soft lips. "Well, Luke's waiting for me. I have to go."

"Okay, bye babe."

I say goodbye and then let her go. I grab my bag and throw it over my shoulder while I make my way to the front door of the pack house.

"Devin?" Bonny grabs my attention and I look at her from over my shoulder.

"Yes?"

"Promise me you'll be nicer to Audrey this time." She says, looking sincere. My eyebrows pull together in confusion.

"What do you mean?" I ask, genuinely curious as to why she would ask me to be nice to Audrey.

"It's not her fault that you two are mates. She can't help that the fates made a mistake and you being rude to her like the last time we saw her will only make it harder on her." Bonny says, looking sympathetic as she thinks about my mate. I look at the door and sigh, Luke can wait a couple of minutes so I can talk to my wife. I turn to Bonny and smile at her softly.

"You're such a kind-hearted woman, Bonny. And that's one of the reasons we're perfect together." I tell her. "You balance out my callous personality and make me see a different perspective. I know your stand on how to treat Audrey now and I will try to be kinder towards her but I can't promise you I will. Audrey has broken many rules and needs to be set straight. I might have to be a hard-ass to get her to start behaving as a proper member of this pack should."

She sighs but smiles at me shyly, "Okay babe, I trust you'll do the right thing."

With that I left the pack house and went to my BMW where Luke was waiting in the passenger seat. I throw my bag in the back seat and then hop into the driver's seat.

"Took you long enough." Luke says grumpily. I chuckle at him and then put the keys in the ignition.

"You're in quite a mood." I tease him. I pull out of the large drive way and then onto the main road. Since its past midnight the roads are empty and I'm glad.

"Maybe it's because I've been waiting in here for nearly an hour." He snaps. "Couldn't you and Bonny have fucked another time?"

I chuckle at him once again, "No can do, man. I'm not going to see her for three days; I had to get it in when I had the chance."

It seems like his grumpy mood is lifting because he laughs at that, "Yeah man, I get you."

After driving for five hours straight Luke and I decide to pull into a diner in the town right outside of Bellator territory. We figured since there's no rush, we might as well.

When I step out of the car I look up as the sky to see that its morning but it's so cloudy that it's still kind of dark out. It looks like a storm is heading in.
