Amethyst POV
I always promised myself I wouldn't fall under the spell of Morpheus Mitchell the golden boy of East Wood High School since freshman year.
He had everyone falling at his feet, he's basically adored by the student body he's the king.
Plus he had some of the hottest girls in school clinging to his arm so Why all of a sudden was he so interested in me?
The girl who he probably didn't even know existed until I smiled at him on his birthday I would have kept my head down but something made me smile.
The girl who sits in front of the class and still isn't noticed, the smartest girl in school in other words nothing close to his social status but yet still he asks me out on a date.
And here I was sat Indian style in the front seat of his car as he told me about his family.
I'm the shy girl that barely speaks unless she's spoken to and all of sudden I can just talk to the most popular guy in school as if we've known each other for years.
All of sudden I get this sudden urge to kiss him until we both are gasping for air.
All of a sudden I'm giving him cheek kisses.
As a person who doesn't usually like physical contact him touching me doesn't seem to be a problem.
Holding my hand or playing with my hair he always has this need to have some form of contact with me and this weird wave of pure satisfaction glides through my body everytime.
I'm beginning to sound like every girl in school.
Totally swooning over Morpheus Mitchell.
"My mom and dad are happily married been that way since they were both twenty one" he said with pride and I hummed his voice was gentle and soothing as if he didn't want to scare me.
"You look beautiful" he said for the fifth time in three minutes and I sighed humming again.
How is someone suppose to even respond to a compliment?
"Thank you for the fifth time" I giggled and he blushed.
My mom choose my outfit only because I have zero sense of style and this is my first date, the first time I've ever been asked out, the first time someone besides my mom and best friends has called me beautiful he kept reminding me like he never wanted me to forget.
It was cringey, cute and annoying all at the same time.
"How are you enjoying the date so far?" He reached taking my hand in his and like on instinct I ran my thumb over his knuckles.
We had been to all the beautiful places in the small town.
The Botanical Gardens, the newly opened art gallery that I've been dying to go to and this was only for the morning time.
We had gone to Gina's the best dinner in town and ate breakfast well more like I watched Morpheus eat while pulling funny faces and me almost choking to death serval times.
He had given me a gift bag when I first got in the car it had a sketch pad and pencils.
"I want you to sketch everything you see that's beautiful today, everything that makes you feel happy" that was my mission for the day.
"I love it" I turned away from my current sketch giving him a toothy grin scrunching up my face in the process and he sighed in relief.
"But it isn't over yet right?" I questioned and he nodded.
