Haley POV

I was quietly grieving as I gazed out of the window coming face to face with a sign that said 'Welcome to Beacon Hills'. See the only reason I'm here is because my Uncle Chris promised my mother he would take good care of me if anything was to happen to them, vice versa with Allison. Anyways they got into a terrible plane crash on the way back from one of their business trips and left me mourning for weeks over their death. No one knew where I was for a week, but like the protective uncle Chris is, he sent policemen from almost every town in Florida until they found me. Once they did, I was on my way here to start a new life with a new family, one I actually loved and not some foster family. Soon I was pulling up to a giant white house. It was about 10x the size my apartment back home in Florida and I couldn't wait for it to become mines. I paid the taxi driver and started up the walkway to the house with my eyes bulging out of its sockets and my jaw hanging six feet under. I didn't even get the chance to ring the bell because the door was yanked open and Allison and I stood facing each other with the exact same expression on both of our faces. Pain.

She gave a small smile as I tried to return it, but it came out as more of a grimace. I felt tears sting the back of my eyes and hers wondered to the floor avoiding contact with mine. When we met each other's gaze again she engulfed me into a hug and I didn't hesitate to wrap my arms around her. I know exactly how she felt about losing her aunt and uncle because I lost my mom and dad. My mom was like her best friend because she was her dad's baby sister and her favorite aunt which is why Allison and I are like two peas in a pod. We tell each other any and everything, literally. Like if I have to burp, I tell her, if she has to pee, she tells me, and so on. We finally pulled away from our lifetime long hug and she helped me with my bags up the stairs to our room. The room was humongous and I wasn't surprised that even after it got split into two that we both still had plenty of room to ourselves. Once I was finished settling in we decided to take our minds off of the current weight on our shoulders so we did what normal teenage girls do at night when bored. We polished our nails and talked. Well honestly she talked and I listened. The only topic she enjoyed talking about was her and her boyfriend Scott. The way she spoke about him made her face light up like a star in the night sky. To say he made her happy would be an understatement.

"So Hales you ready for your first day of school tomorrow?" she asked from her side of the room.

I only yawned and nodded as I blew my nails a few more times to make sure they were dry before going to bed. I turned off the lamp and spoke for the first time since I arrived saying

"Goodnight Ally"

"Goodnight Hales"

Haley POV

I woke up to the rays of sun coming in through the windows. Rolling over I saw that Allison was no where in sight and her bed was already neatly made. I figured she had already gotten ready so I took this chance to get freshened up. When I got out of the shower I went into my closet and pulled out a some grey sweats with my white crop top designed with a pair of lips planted in the middle. Then I put on some white converses and grabbed my bag and phone figuring I'd meet Allison downstairs. There was no type of movement going on whatsoever in this house. Its like I was the only one in here. I went to the kitchen to get a apple and when I turned to get some juice there was a note on the fridge. It read:

To Haley, From Allison

Scott picked me up for school and dad is out. Sorry I couldn't give you a ride but I sent someone to pick you up. Trust me I wouldn't send you with just anyone so when Stiles picks you up, don't give him any problems. Love ya, see you at school.

Did I forget to mention I'm well aware of what my family has done for a living. Though my parents stopped long before I was born, I still knew. I was still exposed to it when my great-uncle Gerard had manipulated Allison into taking it too far and my mom and Uncle Chris had said that I'm the only person who would be able to reason with her because she just wouldn't listen to any one else. I was shocked when I found out because I could have sworn that all the crap about werewolves, vampires, and stuff were fable. Only then did Allison and Chris give up hunting, realizing how dangerous it can be. I was snapped out of my thoughts when I heard a constant honking. That must be Stiles I figured. Grabbing a juice box from the fridge I slipped on my book bag and ran outside. When I got out there, no one was around. The only thing visible was a raggedy blue jeep in front of me. I saw that the kid in the driver seat had been waving to me and I knew then that it was him, Stiles. Slowly and cautiously I walked over to the jeep. The boy got out and came around to my side of the jeep opening the door and gesturing for me to get in. I giggled and mumbled a quick 'Thank you' still laughing at his attempt to be gentleman like. He gave me a wide grin and went around to the other side of the jeep. Once he got in he held out his hand and said

"Hi I'm Stiles and you must be Haley"

I laughed and nodded while he kissed the back of my hands. I moved a piece of hair from in front of my face and said

"Nice to meet you Stiles"

He gave me one last smile before turning to the road and pulling off headed to the school.
