Callie's Pov;
I've been back home for 2 months, and everything is great. Although I feel guilty for going behind Stef and Lena's backs about Brandon and I being together. My classes are normal, and my grades look decent. Jude, Marianna & I's relationships have been perfect for the past few months. My birthday is in a few days, and I honestly can't wait. I'll finally be 17, I'll legally be able to drive in California.
"Hey Cal, do you think we can go shopping for homecoming dresses today?" Marianna asked practically jumping up and down. I had almost forgotten about that, I am required to attend all school events, that includes, PTO meetings, school clubs, and everyone's favorite, dances. Marianna is still staring at me, and I notice I still haven't replied to her.
"Oh, uh, sure." I said to answer her question.
"Yay, thank you so much. I haven't had anyone to go shopping with since Lexi moved," she told me with so much sadness in her eyes.
"I know, Mari. I'll meet you in the kitchen in about 20, and we'll go." I told her with a halfhearted smile.
"Thanks Cal." And with that she was off.
20 minutes later we were ready and on our way to the mall to get homecoming dresses.
"Mari, what time does homecoming start anyways?"
"It starts at 6 this Friday." I could almost feel my eyes pop out of my head.
"That's two days from now!" I gulped.
"That means we'll have to get everything today, and then I'll be under the pressure on Friday on top if all my school work, and with Jude's birthday coming up, I just-" I was abruptly cut off by Marianna.
"Jude's birthday?"
"Uh, yeah." I told her knowing where this conversation was going;
"I thought it was next month?" She asked suspiciously,
"Well, ya see, when we were younger, the social workers messed up Jude's birthday by a few months."
"Well, we could totally do something huge for him, like a surprise party!?" She asked getting excited.
"Oh my god, totally!" I told her smiling.
Ten minutes later we pulled up to the mall and started looking for dresses, talk about walking through hell, literally not even 10 minutes since we got there
Marianna had tried on 5 dresses and I still couldn't find one. I threw my head back in frustration. Just as I was about to give up, I saw a a black dress that was sparkly at the top and flared out just a little. I thought it was gorgeous. I quickly picked if up and tried it on. Once I got in the dressing room I tried it on and it fit perfectly. Satisfied, I go and pick out a new pair of combat boots and a leather jacket. Not exactly what a normal person would wear, but, I wasn't normal. Once I got everything I looked around for Marianna. Once I saw her I quickly ran up to her and showed her what I got.
"Are you almost ready, Mari?" I asked.
"Uh, yeah. Let's go." Marianna picked out a short pink dress that was very similar to her quince' dress only brighter and shorter. She also got a pair of sparkly silver heels. That I wouldn't be caught dead in. Once we both checked out, we headed over to the food court.
"What do you wanna eat?" I asked not really sure myself.
"Chinese?" She asked with a smile. I smiled back and nodded my head.
"I'll order and you find us a table." I offered, she agreed and I went off to the line. I ordered Marianna and I some sweet chicken and egg rolls. Our favorite. Obviously. I got the food and met Marianna, she said thanks and we finished our food.
Pretty good day. Tiring but good.
Next is the one and only; Homecoming.
