Finding Her

HARRY'S P.O.V

*Earlier that day*

That didn't just happen. That couldn't have just happened. That's impossible.

I walk around the corner and sure enough, she's trying to get through a crowd of people. I walk up and place my hand on her shoulder. She snaps her head around and I sink into those beautiful brown eyes.

"Y-You." I stutter.

"We can't talk here." She says, dragging me away. We go into a small alley away from everyone.

"But, how?" I ask, confused. This just isn't possible.

"Y-You're dead." I say.

"Yep. I'm a ghost." She says sarcastically. I pull her into a hug, holding her tight.

"Why didn't you come tell us? It's been 2 years!" I say.

"I figured to let you guys live your lives. I thought it might be better without me." She shrugs sadly. She's joking right?

"It has been hell without you. Do you know what we've been through? Megan, it sucks without you." I admit to her.

"You went to the concert didn't you? And that was your question we answered wasn't it?" I ask, remembering the concert.

"Yea. I was there. And yes, that was my question." She admits.

"You know Liam saw you. He thought he was going insane." I say.

"Yea. Well I would too. I gotta go Harry. Please don't tell the rest of them I'm still alive." She says with pleading eyes.

"But how did you survive? We saw you jump off that bridge." I ask. It doesn't add up.

"Unfortunately, it didn't kill me. I went to the hospital and got treated. After that I just kept in the shadows. Hidden away." She says.

"Where are you staying?" I ask.

"With Laney." She says.

"Wait, she knows? Who else knows?" I implore. What if the other boys know. Not Liam obviously, but like Lou or Zayn.

"Her, my mum and brother. Nobody else." She says, answering my question.

"But-But why won't you come back?" I ask on the verge of tears. I feel that burning feeling in my nose that you get before you cry. I can feel the tears covering my eyes.

"I just can't. I'm sorry Harry. Please dont tell the others or anyone. I'm sorry I put you guys through all this and I didnt mean for you to find me. But, trust me it is better this way. Now, walk away and pretend we never saw each other. I'm dead. We'll never see each other again and we can all be happy." She turns around.

"Wait." I call after her. She spins around and I grab her by the waist, pulling her to me.

"I can't let you leave without doing one more thing." I say, glancing at her lips. I lean forward and catch her lips on mine. I've been dreaming about this. I've been wanting to do this ever since I saw her that day in Starbucks. I think about that first day we talked as our lips move together. This feels right. It feels perfect. Everything's cut short when she pulls away.

"Harry-" She starts to protest as I keep my eyes closed.

"Shh." I quiet her, taking in the moment and opening my eyes.

"Harry. I can't do this. I'm suppose to be dead." She says, looking down.

"But you're not. You're alive, standing here in front of me. Megan, you were always the one. I knew it from the day I met you in Starbucks. Your hilarious personality. It's always been you, and it always will be." I admit, taking her face in my hand.

"Harry. I can't. You don't understand." She protests.

"But why?" I ask.

"Because. I love Liam." She says. I can literally feel my heart shatter. I don't understand why it hurts this much.

"I'm sorry. I have to go." She says, walking away, leaving me standing there.

A lonely, heart broken boy. How do you live when you know the one you love, loves your best mate.

Hey!

So, school gets out on Tuesday so I'll be able to write more after that...but right now my life is chaotic...so much drama! and then my teachers are annoying...

But, anyway, how did you like the chapter? huh? Was it good or what! Fricken Harry man. Harry... Tsk tsk tsk...bad Harry. Or maybe good? Maybe that knocks some sense into her? Or maybe it makes her hide even more...But maybe it makes a new relationship...
