He sighed deeply and looked up into the mustard-blood's dual colored eyes, he hated being here and he never wanted to come. All he wanted to do was leave. He poked Sollux's cheek repeatedly until he had no choice but to pay attention to the violet-blood underneath him. His posture and attitude went from carefree and joyful to annoyed and pestered as he looked down at Eridan.
"Ye2? What do you want?" he sounded a bit snappish but Eridan didn't care. His eyes went soft as he gingerly booped the other's nose, a small pout ingrained onto his lips.
"Can wwe please go home Sol.. I hate it here.. I have a bad feeling..and Kar is here."
"No, ED, we're goiing two 2tay for a liitle longer. You'll be okay. II promi2e." With that Eridan sighed and buried his face into sollux's stomach; he felt sick and nauseated. He had already heard whispers of why he even bothered to be here when they walked in and now, two hours later, he had been completely ignored and isolated. Even by Sollux. It hurt and he couldn't help the thought of just wanting to run away. No one would care if he left...
Sollux was busy chatting up a certain Feline character, going on and on about possible relationships in the room. Nepeta looked down at Eridan and gave Sollux a cheeky grin.
"Speaking of which, what's up with mew two?" The question threw Sollux off immensely as he glanced down at Eridan's moping form. He really didn't know how to respond to it. He didn't even know what they were at this point. They were sweet and more loving to one another at home but at times he felt sick to his stomach with Eridan. He really didn't know which quadrant he wanted him in anymore.
"Nothiing, AC, just normaliity is all." As he spoke his hand brushed through Eridan's hair and Eridan looked up at him with sorrow filled eyes. Nepeta giggled at the small display of affection.
"I think mew two are shifting. Oh, how exciting! A mew ship is to set sail, ah, that makes me so excited!" She slid off the arm of the couch with a squeal, running off as she had heard name be called be a certain sweat drenched friend. Sollux rolled his eyes and he officially had enough of this party. He didn't want his and Eridan's relationship blasted throughout the city. He was certainly buzzed at this point, he had let Gamzee spike his drink in order for him to deal with Eridan's mopey attitude. He knew he needed to help him but it was so damn hard when he was like this, he needed socializing with the rest of the world but, at this point, he didn't know if it'd make anything better. He swallowed the rest of his drink and put it down as he gently rubbed Eridan's cheek.
"Okay, we can go now. II'm offiiciially done wiith thii2 party." Eridan shot up from Sollux's lap, a small grin plastered onto his face as his eyes lit up with hope.
"Really?! Can wwe please go home, Sol?" His voice quavered slightly as he stood up and stretched, doing his best to ignore dirty looks coming from the crabbiest troll himself. Sollux followed his motions in suit, grabbing his hand and leading him to the front door on wobbly legs. Gamzee popped up quickly, his eyes glazed over more than a glazed donut with extra glaze. Eridan's heart stopped and he felt the familiar tangle of anxiety start to ball up in his stomach like a heavy stone.
"SoL bRo, PlEaSe DoN't Go YeT, i StIlL hAvE tO sHoW yOu SoMeThInG!" Sollux shook his head as he pushed past the purple blood. He didn't even want to know what it was, he felt fed up with everyone all of a sudden. He needed to get Eridan out of here, he knew he should have earlier but he needed to socialize for once and not be sucked into Eridan's depression.
"No, TC, II want two go home wiith my..." He stopped himself from saying Matesprit as it had almost slid out, but he continued on nonetheless. "Eriidan. We have thiing2 we need two do." He continued to push past him and out the front door. Eridan picked up on Sol's hesitation at his words. He wondered what he had meant to say but thought it best to just drop it, no matter how much it would eat at him. Usually he would say something like 'fuckstick' or something, but, this time something was different.
