I walked two steps and fell. My mommy laughed and picked me back up and said, "You almost got it Alicia!" I babbled and said, "Mmm... Mm... Mo... Mommy." My mommy's eyes got wide. I smiled and she picked me up and tossed me gently into the air and said, "Alicia did you say Mommy?" I smiled and leaned in for a kiss. Mommy kissed my cheek and smiled and said again, "Did you say Mommy?" I giggled and said, "Mommy!" She smiled and said with joy, "Danny! Danny! She said Mommy!" My daddy came running in and said, "You said Mommy! Can you say Daddy?" I smiled and said, "Ddd... Dd... Derpy!" My mommy laughed and said, "I'll practice with her till she gets your name right." He nods and goes back to what he was doing. Daddy never seemed to wanna be around because I wouldn't say daddy. But I don't know how!
Mommy scooped me up and carried me into the kitchen. She set me down in my highchair and buckled me in. Daddy walked into the kitchen and washed his hands. My mommy walked over to me and handed me two chocolate chip cookies. I grabbed one and nibbled it. Mommy put my sippy cup down in front of me and she said, "Take two more bites and you can have some milk." I nibbled at it again and drooled everywhere. I swallowed the bit I had taken and took another one. I dropped the cookie and made grabby hands at the milk and babbled, "Dink Mommy Dink!" My mommy laughed and said, "Drink Alicia not dink. Silly girl." I giggled and made grabby hands to the milk again. My mommy handed me the milk and I drank it till I got full. I tried to get out of the high chair, but I was buckled in. I squirmed and whined, "Mommy!" My mommy walked to me and said, "Is Alicia full?" I nodded and she unbuckled me and took me out and walked to my room she laid a blanket on the floor and laid me on it and unstrapped my diaper and cleaned me and put a new one on. She picked me up and put me in my playpen and put toys around me. She walked away and left the room. I grabbed my dollies and threw one and put he other in my mouth and slobbered all over it.
Thirty minutes later my mommy came in and picked me up and carried me to the kitchen. Right when we entered the kitchen I seen people I have never seen before. They all awed at me. I turned and hid my face in my mommy's chest. They all laughed and some awed again. My mommy put me in my highchair and buckled me in. Everyone stared at me and my mommy said, "Say hi Alicia." I looked at her and frowned and said, "Mommy..." Everyone awed again cause I said Mommy... big deal. My mommy looked at them and said, "Give her some time to get used to you all." They all nodded or said, "Okay." My mommy left me and I felt so scared. Two minutes later she walked back in with a small circle cake in her hand. Daddy walked in behind her carrying a big rectangular shaped cake. Daddy put the cake in the middle of the table where the other people were and he lit a candle that had a number one on it. Mommy held the other cake that was a circle. People began singing, "Happy birthday to you! Happy birthday to you! Happy birthday dear Alicia! Happy birthday to you!" Daddy brought the cake over to me and said, "Blow the candle like this." He put his lips in a circle shape and he took a deep breath in and blew out. He grabbed the candle out of the cake and moved it close to me and set the big cake down. I put my lips in a circle and took and deep breath in and blew out. Good thing daddy took the candle out of the cake. Cause I slobbered all over the candle. After I had slobbered away the flame on the candle everyone one clapped and said, "Whoo you're one" Mommy set the small cake in front of me and she smiled and said, "Happy first birthday Alicia, eat some cake." I smiled and giggled at my mommy. I watched everyone put cake in their mouths. So I did the same... but I made a mess.
