This story first saw the light in a lonely student room somewhere in late 2007. If memory serves me well, I wrote the first three or four chapters before losing interest and burying the project in a digital drawer. Almost 9 years later, I pulled it out again. Over the years I had—often subconciously—gathered so many ideas that I began to rewrite those first chapters. I posted them on Wattpad on the 30th of September 2016.
The first draft was finished in March 2018, roughly 1,5 years later. Kudos to all who went through it at that time because it was a mess.
In April 2018, I started writing the second draft. This time it only took me 10 months to finish the monster that is A Blaze In The Dark. For the data geeks:
There are 52 chapters in total, including the prologue and epilogue. Of those:
13 are from Seb's POV
15 are from Fox's POV
10 are from Alex's POV
12 are from Nick's POV
Totalling a word count of 208.743 words (and 659 pages in Word)
