The mindpalace is where the Sanders Sides reside. It's full of millions things, his memories, ideas, almost anything you can think of. Heck, some of them even become real in the mindpalace.

As everyone has been thinking of new things, some of them have made their ways as real concepts Thomas wants to do.

That is why we're here, to tell a story. It was completely unexpected, and they were both extremely happy when they got out of the situation. Don't get me wrong, it was nice while it lasted, and they got a better understanding of each other, but they wanted to see each other again.

It's a long story, so we'll start where we usually would, at the beginning. Where else would we start?

          Virgil's POV

I sat on the couch with Roman. We were watching a movie while Logan and Patton were out with Thomas. Of course, during the movie, there was a piano solo, just basically the character pressing random keys. I was already having an off day, and they just had to press a g-note.

Roman glanced over at me. I could tell he was either very uneasy or very amused. I took a deep breath and focused on the movie once more, trying to ignore the hot tears brewing in my eyes.

I didn't know what was causing it, I was just sad. It might've been the g-note, but I highly doubt that. I was in a bad state already, so I wasn't surprised honestly.

"Virgil? Are you okay...?" Roman asked softly, placing a hand on mine. "I-I'm fine." I said, focusing on Roman. "What makes you think I'm not?" "You're eyes were a bit glossy." He said. "I just wanted to make sure you were feeling alright." "I'm okay, Princey." I said. "Now c'mon, we gonna watch this thing or not?"

timeskip.

I softly lied my head on Roman's shoulder. I didn't realize I had done this until he softly placed an arm around me. "It's getting late. Sleep if you're tired, it's okay, darling." He said. His voice was so soft and peaceful, it could lul--

Did he just call me "darling?" "D-Did you just call me 'darling?'" I asked. "Oh, apologies, i-it must've slipped out. I-I won't--" "Hey, I didn't say I didn't like it." I cut him off. "I find it...cute that you call me that..." My cheeks were flushing with heat, and I thanked any god that was out there for foundation.

"I-If you're comfortable with it..." Roman trailed off, his cheeks flushing almost as much as mine. "I can...call you that...i-if you want..." "I mean...one more pet name to add to the list." I said with a chuckle, earning one from Roman.

I gently slipped my eyes closed and felt a soft hand rub up and down my arm, almost putting me to sleep. "I'm glad you're trying to get more sleep." Roman said softly. "I functioned just fine without it, I'm doing this for you guys." I mumbled sleepily.

"Either way, it's good for you." Roman said. "I'm proud of you." My heart fluttered. What's wrong with me? We're just friends, we always have been and always will be! What's wrong with me...? I guess...maybe I want to be close to him?

I've always craved affection, though I've never shown it. I didn't want people to think I was weak, it was always so hard to deny hugs, or even just a friendly high five.

I've manged that though. Ever since "Accepting Anxiety," I've let my guard down. Not completely, but enough.

I felt myself starting to drift off in Roman's embrace. It was warm, and I knew I was safe. Knowing everything was fine, I slipped off into a peaceful sleep.

         Roman's POV

I felt the weight on my side become heavier and heavier. I didn't want to admit it, but I myself was falling asleep. Virgil sure seemed comfy, so why shouldn't I?

I leaned my head on his, being sure not to wake him. Heat was radiating off of his body, yet I still wasn't warm enough. I gently reached over Virgil and grabbed a blanket. I set it lightly on top of him and I.

The environment was quiet, the only light emitting from the television. "Good night, Virge." I mumbled quietly, pressing a kiss to the top of his head. It was just a platonic thing, though sometimes...never mind.

I slipped my eyes closed and drifted off into slumber...
