Chapter 20 part 1

"So what are you gonna be this year?" Makoto asked me as we sat on a bench in a park.

"I haven't decided yet. But I'm to lazy to do anything extravagant."

"Wanna do a couple costume?" Makoto asked with a slight blush on his cheeks."

"Um sure." I said shyly.

"So what do you want to do as our costume?"

"Hmmmmmmm how about fries and a milkshake?" I said looking up at him.

"Perfect. I can be the milkshake and you can be fries."

"Deal." I said and laid my head against his shoulder. It was such a nice day out. It was clear and sunny, but wasn't to hot or cold. It was perfect.

"What's up love birds?!" Lucas said as he forced himself in between us.

"Please leave." I said.

"Yes, please do." Makoto said "we're kind of on a date so if you don't mind.

"Oh I don't mind. It's such a nice day and this is the best spot in the park so I want to enjoy it." He said leaning back.

Lucas has gotten more and more intolerable in the month he's been living with me. He's always interrupting our dates, waking me up in the middle of the night, and still finds himself in my bed in the morning. I thought eventually that would stop but it hasn't and I've had just about enough of him.

"That's it!" I yelled and stood up abruptly startling Makoto and Lucas. "Lucas I can't take this anymore! You are annoying, rude and intolerable! Just please leave before I seriously hurt you!" I said a few more choice words to him, but by the end I was out of breath and Makoto and Lucas had very surprised looks on there faces.

"Jeez you could've just asked." He said getting up.

"We both did!" I screamed at him.

"Okay okay I'm leaving he said and walked away." Makoto was still staring at me in shock.

"Maybe we should go as good cop bad cop instead."

"I'm sorry." I said plopping back down next to him. "He is just so. So. So."

"Infuriating?"

"Yes! Exactly. He was okay but now I'm ready for him to leave already." I said putting my head on his shoulder.

"Ya know you've changed a lot since we started going out." He said looking down at me.

"I have?"

"Yeah. You've become more open, outgoing in some ways, and your personality around me and some other people have changed. But in a good way of course."

"I hadn't even noticed." We spent the next 10-15 minutes just sitting there comfortably, enjoying each other's presence.
