How to Ask your parents if you can watch this movie (if your old enough) properly (meaning they won't ignore you because reasons)
1st: Research about the movie (aka type in the search bar in google the movie title) (you have to do this because..... you'll see later)
2nd: Watch a trailer (or watch all) (just remember DO NOT watch a clip cuz spoilers) (and in case Google didn't say anything that's on the trailer)
3rd: Ask a parent if you can watch
4th: The parent asks you questions like:
- Who's in it (make sure you start with a really good actor like RDJ or Jeff Goldblum or anyone that has an award)
- What's the story
Then you answer them (that's why you have to research bro)
5th: Wait for the answer
Example:
Scenario: Wants to watch The Impossible cuz Tom
How to properly do it:
Check if parent is in a good mood and is not busy
Me: Can I watch The Impossible?
Parent: Who's in there?
Me: Ewan McGregor (Obi-Wan Kenobi)
Parent: REALLY!? (👍 self)
Me: Yup
Parent: What's the story?
Me: So theres a family that went to Thailand on DECEMBER 2004 (this is my birth year and month) then-
Parent: Tsunami?
Me: Ya then they get separated then reunite and stuff ya it's a true story
Parent: Ok......
Me: Can I watch it?
Parent: I'll still check it out
Me: Ok!
(Just hope he doesn't know he's in it) (btw I asked my dad if I can watch edge of winter but my dads like 'you just wanna watch it cuz he's there' so yeah)
What happens if you don't do this:
Me: Can I watch The Impossible?
Parent: Who's in it?
Me: TOM HOLLAND!!!!!!!!!!!
Parent: Ughhhhhh enough......
Me: But Ewan McGregor's there
