I hum and twirl the small strange of her that
my fingers are able to reach. I still have the
restraints on and my body feels hot and
tired. I feel sick and want to get out of this
place.
The darkness is getting closer and I don't
know how much longer I can fight it off.
Samantha appears in my line of view; her
eyes sad.
“Oh, Belle,” she says softly. “What's
happened to you?”
I take a deep breath and lick my lips to
speak, “It's coming for me, Samantha, and I
don't think I'm strong enough to stop it.”
my voice breaks at the end and I begin to
sob.
“Whatever do you mean?” She asks
worried.
“The darkness is trying to corrupt me,” I
explain. “And I fear it is going to win.”
