GATE: Bullet And Magic

The Beginning

Hey guys! So I hope you all enjoy reading this. I can't find any GATE related story so I decide to make one myself. ^_^

"I can't believe I'm doing this" you said with a sigh as you hold your phone

"Sorry for this (Y/N) but I promise I buy you something nice in return" the voice of your older brother echo through the phone

"I don't want anything, you make me work on my day off!" You said raising your voice to show how much this piss you off

"What's the point taking a day off if you just going to sleep all day" Your brother said but before you can retort back he hung up the phone.

You let out a frustrated sigh as you wonder around the camp, as you walk more you meet some of your friends. You guys talks a bit and eventually you excuse yourself, usually you would take a nap but goes against for some reason. You didn't know why but you feel something terrible would happen today, people might said you just been paranoid but you trust your instinct, and that trust has never fail you.

Went you turn to your right you bump into someone, you manage to keep your balance as you look at whom you has bump into and hopefully it isn't one of the higher ups. You let out a sigh that you been holding once you see who you has bump into, turn out it just Akira Tomita. He was known around the camp for his size, he not fat or overweight but his broad shoulder was something most men could dream off. Even thought he was big, he was also known as diligent, calm, cool and collected person.

"Sorry Akira, I didn't watch where I was going" you said as you rub your nape sheepishly

"It's okay (Y/N), say aren't today your day off" He asks you

"Yeah but, Itami make me switch place with him so he can go buy Doujinshi" You said as you slump your shoulder in defeats, Akira chuckles a bit and rub your back in comforting manner.

"He really a big otaku isn't he?"

"He would literally choose his hobby over his work, so yeah he really is a big otaku" A smile cross your face as you remember how your brother would react every time he gets a new manga. But then a speaker when off calling every personal to head to the helicopter bays, instinct take over as you and Akira run toward the bay.

When you get there everyone were putting on their equipment and checking their weapon, some were filling the magazine with bullets. You and Akira nod to each other and went to your own station. You try to find any commanding officer until your eyes land on one, a 50 years old Sergeant Major Soichiro Kuwahara. You make your way to him and asks him what's going on. He said a an army clad with medieval armour with sword and spear just attacking Ginza and killing civilians, there also news about human riding a real life dragon and orc like creature was there. When you heard the word Ginza you start to turn pale, that's where your brother goes. Thousands of thoughts were in your mind but you push it to the back of your head, knowing your brother would be fine since he did become Ranger and Special Force.

You put on your Kevlar and your glove, your hand reach to your sidearm a SIG Sauer P220 that were on top of the table, you cock your gun couple of times before inserting a fresh magazine in it and put it on your holster. The sounds of helicopters rotor were heard as the pilots start the engine giving us the signal to hurry up. You take couple of magazines that were holding 10, 7.62 x 51 mm NATO type of cartridge and insert in on the slots on your Kevlar. Grabbing your AWP sniper rifle, you enter one of the waiting helicopters along with other soldiers of SDF.

From inside the helicopter you could see dead bodies of civilians on the ground bath with their own blood, from adults to children they were kill in cold blood. One of the private almost throw up but his friend tell him to suck it up. Once the helicopters made to their designate location, rope were drop and one by one the soldier drop down. You stay in the helicopter as the pilot fly it from one location to the others, mostly were the enemies are. You look through the scope as you aim on one of the enemies, truth to Sargent Kuwahara words the enemies are wearing medieval armour. Taking a deep breath, you pull the trigger and claim your first kill.

Using a bolt action rifle, you open the breech using a small handle and an empty bullet case fly out and a new round replace it as you close the breech. You take aim and fire claiming another kill, you wonder why the enemies didn't take cover instead they were just standing there looking at the helicopter as you kill them one by one. Some of the enemies take cover behind their shield, they thought they would be safe by taking cover behind it. They thought wrong, as they begin to take position with their shields, a helicopter swing by and start to open fires with it 20mm cannon.

This goes for about an hour with the JSDF battling against the enemies, even though the JSDF win this battle but it come with great casualties. Once the battle was over almost thousand of civilians had lost their life and many were mourning over it. As the helicopter you were in land on the field at the imperial palace you quickly exit it but not before saying a quick thank you to the pilot. You look around try to find your brother, the feeling of losing the only family you have left start to hunt you. But then you saw him, he was walking with a very young girl with her hand in his and quickly you make you way to him.

"Itami! Itami!" you shout as you jog toward him, he turn to face you and he seem shock to see you here

"(Y/N)! You alright dude?" He ask

"Yeah I'm fine, we heard about what happen and we make our way here as soon as possible" I tell him then I notice the girl was looking at me "Who's the girl? Don't tell me you become paedophile." I said try to light the mood

"I found her alone looking around for her mother" Itami said to you

This is what you fear most, after so many civilians that had die you were sure that this girl mother were one of it. You can't just go and tell this girl that her mom die, hell you would shoot yourself for saying that to her. You look at Itami straight in the eyes and he get the message, for a second you could see something in his eyes. Sad, anger, self-blaming but it turn back into his usual goofy eyes as he look at the girl and tell her that he will her find her mother. They both walk past you to search for the girl mother, you never know how Itami could be so calm and handle this like his everyday life.

But what you know is, the JSDF won't stay still for what happen, YOU won't stay still for everything that has happen today.

Annnnnnd done! So that's the first part of the story. Now I know this sound like propaganda and all but against this is how the author of the original story writes it. I been reading a fanfiction.net and most authors on that site puts their own country military like US Marine, Canadian, Polish even the Russian. So againt, this is just a work of pure fiction and I only write this for fun.
