"I know." I said.
"Well, aren't you going to do something about it?" My mom asked.
"I don't know what i should do. I feel like i've.."
"You've what?"
"I've developed feelings for her." I said.
"No. You didn't develop feelings for her, you simply found your memories of her. Your might not remember about how you fell in love with her, or how you loved her. But in your heart, those feelings will always exist whether you want to embrace it or not." My mom said to me while patting my head.
"If it's true, then what should i do?" I asked my mom.
"Do what you think is right for you." My mom said while leaving my room.
The next day.
I keep on thinking about what my mom said yesterday. I don't know what will happen if i actually tell her what i feel about her. But i guess everything has it's time.
"Yo, what's up man? You look kind of down." Joey asked me.
"I don't really want to talk about it." I said.
"Well, cheer up man! We have 2 extra day offs on thursday and friday, let's hang out!" He said while tapping on my shoulder.
"I'd rather stay home and play video games."
"Come on! It will be fun! I'll ask stefi to come as well!" He said enthusiastically.
"No."
"Just for one day, dude! Please do it for me!" He begged.
"Uhh fine."
"Yeah! That's what i'm talking about. We're gonna have so much fun!"
Joey's POV
Earlier that day.
"How do you think i should approach him?" Stefi asked me."Well, i guess you can approach him in many kind of ways, but the best way is to drag him into a rom-com cliched type situation." I said.
"I don't understand. And it sounds like you got this idea from the cartoons you've been watching." She said cynically.
"It's called anime okay! Well the point is, you need to get him to acknowledge you. And there has to be no one around so you can tell him everything about how you feel." I said.
"I still don't get it."
"Just, talk to him at a theme park, in the afternoon while the sun is setting. Perfect background for a love confession." I said feeling cool about what i said.
"I guess i'll give it a try, but if i invite him to go to a theme park for no reason he most definitely won't go." She said.
"You can leave that thing to me! You just focus on your speech you're gonna give him later this week, okay?"
"Okay. Thanks again, joey."
"No problem, best wingman ready at your service."
Thomas' POV
Saturday morning.
"Mom, i'm going out!" I said.
"Okay, take care honey! Don't go home too late... Wait, actually go home a bit late!" My mom shouted.
"O..kay?" I went out from the house and started heading for the said theme park.
I've never gone to a theme park before, and as long as i remember seeing it on the internet, it has many types of rides that if you think about it, can kill you in a flash pretty much. I'm also kind of scared of heights so i don't think i'm going on the rides that literally will take me to an another layer of the atmosphere.
"Hey! Over here!" Joey shouted at me while waving his hands.
"Sup." I said. There i see Stefi wearing black blouse, black jeans with her hair straightened. If you ignore the fact that she looks like she's about to attend a funeral, you can say that she looks really cute.
"What do you think about Stefi's clothes? Pretty cute right?" Joey teased me while winking.
"Hey, yeah. Um, uh.. yeah." Frozen and not knowing how to speak properly, I almost fell into a stroke.
"I guess that's a compliment!" Joey said.
"Well, you do look like you're about bury someone. But yes, i guess they suit you." I said while rolling my eyes.
"I'm not sure if i should take that as a compliment." She said cynically.
"Let's go enjoy some rides!" Joey shouted.
°°°
After 3 hours of suffering endless pain, almost throwing up, and almost having my heart ripped off my chest, we finally finished all the rides.
"Hey, i need to go to the toilet, i'll be back in a flash!" Joey said while running off.
That left me and Stefi all by ourselves. It was getting late and almost everyone had gone home. I sat down on a bench after letting out a big sigh.
"Hey.." Stefi looked at me.
"What?" I said.
"I've been meaning to speak to you about something." She said with a soft tone.
"About the upcoming competition?" I asked her.
"No, not that. Something else." She said.
For some reason, i got nervous and was very anxious about what she was about say.
"I miss you." She said softly.
"What do you mean? I'm right here sitting beside you." I said.
"The old you."
"Well, what's wrong with the current me?" I said while raising one eyebrow.
"It's not that there's something wrong with the current you, i just miss the old you, the you that loved me." She said while looking down.
I froze.
"Well i guess there's no point looking back at the past and whine about it. I guess i'll just move on and go live my life. Look there's Joey! Hey joey, over here!" She said while standing up. Right before she showed her face i saw her wiping a tear off her eye.
"Yo! Sorry i took too long, the thing was so crowded!" Joey whined.
"It's fine, let's all go home before it gets dark." Stefi said.
"Come on Tom!" Joey tapped my shoulder.
I nodded and stood up. All of us decided to go home.
Stefi's POV
Later that night.
"So, how did it go?" Joey buzzed me on Mail.
"It didn't go as well as i thought it would be, but it didn't go as bad as i feared." I replied.
"What do you mean? So was it good or bad?"
"I don't know! He just stayed silent for the whole entire thing."
"LOL, that was unexpected."
"I know right! I mean a straight rejection would hurt, i guess this didn't excite nor did it hurt me."
"What if he thought that if he rejected you, you're going to cry and he's going to feel bad everytime you meet him? Maybe he just doesn't want to make things awkward between the two of you."
"I guess that might be the case." I typed slowly.
"Well, it's already late and my dad has been shouting from downstairs telling me to go sleep or else he's going to confiscate my computer. Remember that there's always next time. If you ever need any help from me again just tell me and i'll try to assist as much as i can. TTYL!" Joey went offline.
He's right, it's already late. I need to get some sleep. Clear my mind and maybe be more cheerful starting tomorrow. That's what was on my thoughts before i started crying myself to sleep.
