|| TWENTY- THREE ||

It was around 3. 30 in morning when Manik felt something soft landed on his stomach.

And even though in sleep he knew who it was! Obviously Trisha it was !!

She was already up and trying to wake up her Dadda. She patted him but there was no response from his side. Then she slowly tried to stand holding him but failed and stumbled upon his stomach, before she would feel Manik had already grabbed her by his one hand. He opened his eyes and welcomed smiling Trisha.

Manik : Why is My Princess up so early ?

Trisha snuggled close to him into his arms and rested her head on his shoulder.

Manik : Is my Baby still sleepy?

He asked getting up and walk near the window speaking sweet words,as he thought that her sleep just got broken and she will go back to sleep but little Devil wants to play ! She after a few seconds peeked out from his neck and pointed at her stuffed toys and Manik nodded in agreement.

All this Nandu was sleeping, she was tired so Manik didn't disturbed her and decided to handle Trisha on his own.

He kept Trisha down near her toys and she dragged her stuffed toys and next moment she was playing with them all energetically.

To pass time Manik also indulged in playing with her. She took her remote control car and made it run with the remote which the baby joined and was giggling with happiness.

Father daughter duo were so much into playing that they didn't see when two hours passed. Manik saw Trisha throw her car on the floor and clinged onto him. He saw that her eyes were heavy, meaning she needed sleep.

Manik : Is my darling sleepy?

Asked Manik to which Trisha began to doze off silently. Manik placed her into the crib, moved it for some time till she dozed off.

He removed her thumb from her mouth which she was sucking, but she let out a cry. Fearing she would cry, he moved a little crib, patted her and she was off to sleep again.

Manik kissed her forehead, wished her a sweet dream and climbed up bed to catch some sleep.

Not wanting to make Nandu feel uncomfortable he maintained distance. He had just closed his eyes when he found Nandini shifting into his arms and had hugged him tightly.

Such an adorable baby she was!...he thought

wrapping his arms protectively around her waist.

He welcomed a peaceful sleep.

It was around 7 when Nandu's eyes opened

up, she tried to move but was caged. She opened her eyes and saw a beautiful sight. Manik was sleeping peacefully.

There was a different peace, calmness on his face. She stared at his face for some time and felt him moving. She instantly closed her eyes and pretended to be sleeping.

Manik was wide away by now. He saw their sleeping positions and slowly removed Nandu's hold around her taking measures she wouldn't wake up. He walked upto Trisha's crib and wished his Princess a Good Morning who was smiling in her sleep which is found extremely adorable.

He went and opened up the windows letting the sun rays fall inside.

He checked up on the time and decided to wake up Nandu otherwise she would be late for her college. They have slept late night, he knows she must be tired but he has to disturb her beauty sleep. He walked next to her and smiled seeing the sight.

Nandini had dug her face into a pillow as sun rays hit her face.

Manik chuckled seeing the sight,and sat beside her. He moved towards her cheeks, and rubbed placed a kiss on her cheeks making her smile. She was wide awake and was just pretending to sleep.
