By the time i had stopped running i was at the end of my street. I breathed quickly attempting to catch my breath, i was holding my hands behind my head because i had once read it opens your lungs bigger so you can consume more oxygen. When i had finally got my breathing back to normal i quickly got back up and continued to walk down to my apartment building.

My street was in the food district so many restaurants and cafes were placed along my street. I looked at a few of them saying the names quietly to myself as i walked through the gigantic crowds past them "7/11.... SunRise Sushi.... Aldi.... carry's coffee.... Chocoláte....." I continued finally reaching my building "home" i addressed, admiring the large sleek building i call home.

I walked to the front glass doors and held the small green button down for three seconds witch caused the door to open.
My building wasn't very fancy, we didnt have a door-man or marble flooring and the closes thing we had to an elevator-man was the homeless man who slept in there on rainy days.
We did though have a large, unfitted, chandelier hanging in the middle of the foyer. But the only reason we had that was thanks to a hotel closing down across town whom happened to be selling it. I believe it was simply an attempt to make the building classer.

I walked to the elevator, flicking my rist as i hit the 'up' arrow. Silently waiting for a ding i turned and lent on the wall beside the elevator doors.

"LANI!!" i heard a young voice yell.
"Oh, hey Liam" i smiled to my neighbours 8 year old son, whom i used to babysit.

I looked away form Liam, checking out the now dull sunlight that was hardly allowing any light through the front of the building.
i once again moved my view to the small electronic clock sitting on the front desk that read '4:47'.
I heard a sudden *ding* and turned to see an empty elevator,
i stepped in and shot Liam an small goodbye, before pressing the button for the tenth floor and watching as the door closed.

Its exactly 6 O'clock Pm and I'm actually so bored, I had been waiting for Lauren to get home. well that was until i realised she didn't even tell me when she would be home so waiting was pretty pointless

"This shows stupid and boring" i wined to the guy on tv who acted over dramatically to some chick with pumped up lips.

I quickly stood as my message alarm set of. Walking towards my LG phone that was sitting on charge in the corner of the room besides the television.
The screen was lit up with the name 'luke <3'
'hey baby, how you feeling? Whatcha up to? Miss you Xx' was what the message read
Awe what a cutie.. I opened my keyboard and began typing
'Hey bub, yeah I'm okay. Im just watching some boring show on Tv wishing you could be here :P XO' i replied

'Well I'm not doing anything Important, ill bring some movies over we can hang ;D Xx" he texted back almost instantly
'Yay!! Sounds like a plan :3 X' i plonked back down on the couch.
Waiting for Luke to arrive. I know he lives on the way other side of town so i kinda expect him to take a wile.

The lounge room, to nicely put it, was a pig-stye. There were clothes spread out across the floor, boxes of various foods on there sides on every table or desk.

"i better clean up a bit before he gets here" i murmerd before standing up and grabbing a pair of pants i had wore two weeks ago "Jesus, so this is what Lauren was going off about yesterday"
This is gonna take a while.

Luke had came around 6:47 he had brought some food including;
Ice-cream
Cookies
Chips and some drinks
And had brought over Beetle juice and Some action movie i cant remember the name to.

At the moment we were snuggled in my bed, legs linked as i read TheFaultInOurStars and he tapped away on his phone
"Whatcha doin?" I picked up the bookmark from my bedside table and placed it in the page i was reading.
"Texting some guys from work, i blew them off for you" Luke looked up and continued
"Some stupid meeting with a guy from out of town. I was suppose to help him find a girl"
He texted something before looking at me again
"But your more important to me" he finished leaving a cute little smile on his face

"A girl?" I questioned grabbing his hand and sitting up slightly, de-tangling our legs
"Uh yeah his soul mate, she supposably lives in Mastin" he sighed pulling his hand away and began tapping on his mobile again before standing to the side of the bed."excuse me" he mumbled holding his phone to his ear and walking out of my room.

I quickly picked up my phone from besides my bed and checked for any messages from Lauren.
None
'Hey, you alright?' I quickly texted... I wasn't worried really, i know she can protect herself but shes my best friend and its my job to be concerned...... And to sell individuals chips and spicy chicken..
'Luke you should be more concerned about your Girlfriend. Tyrone described her perfectly.'
Uh what
'Lauren... This is Lani. Whats going on?' I gave my screen a strange look before i heard Luke's footsteps coming towards my room

My phone vibrated once more with a single word message. 'Shit'

Luke walked up to me "wanna go out?"
"Now?! But I'm tiredddd" i complained laying down, pushing my head into my pillow
"Lani. This is really important"
"Huh?"
"Lets go. Were going to my place.Now"

He was getting angry. I dont understand why i mean everything was normal just a few minutes ago.
I sat up, blank look plastered on my face as he ran his hands through his hair repeatedly. Somethings wrong.
"Okay baby lets go." I knew he was serious, he didn't get upset at nothing so i knew better than to question him.

He smiled at me, before going to my corner desk, grabbing the green duffle bag from the small hook on the wall and tossing at me
"Fill this up then lets go."

"Alright whatever"
