Sneaking out again

Wendy's POV

I never would have thought I would ever kiss captain James Hook, Peter Pan's archenemy. I thought I had fallen for the boy who never grew up, but instead I fell for a pirate. A pirate who I was supposed to see as my enemy. Now I see this man as someone who cares about me, someone who would protect me. In return, I would help him the best I could. I would show him love, something he hadn't been able to feel in a long time. Even though we showed each other how we felt, it still makes things difficult. We haven't really confessed to each other, so I'm pretty sure we have to figure things out some more.

Things seemed to have changed a little though. James doesn't ignore me unless he tells me to be quiet. At least he tells me what he seems to be doing now. I know a lot better how I should behave around him. Things seem to feel more comfortable and I feel more secure around here. It really seems like we have listened to each other quite well. Although, it hasn't been too long since we have made these agreements. There could be moments where these agreements might be ignored, after all we just talked about it. I guess if one of us is in a bad mood we might ignore them.

Now James was busy with the map of Neverland again, adding another circle on the map. I had been watching him, wanting to know what he was planning. I noticed he was looking at me, grinning slightly. "Well Darling, seems like you are truly interested in my plans nowadays." He said slightly amused. I grinned back slightly as well and then I nodded. "I just want to see if I might be able to help you." I told him. He smirked, looking into my eyes. "Oh? So miss Darling wants to see if I'm doing my work okay?" He mumbled. "I didn't know you have lot of knowledge about piracy." He said amused.

"I'm not saying you're not doing your work okay, I just want to see if I can help. Besides, if you are fighting Pan I have to make sure my brothers are alright." I told him, slightly serious. He began looking seriously at me. "Wendy, I'll try to make sure your brothers will be okay, it's just Pan that needs to be defeated." He told me seriously. "As much as I would love to throw Pan to the crocodile, I just need him to be unable to fight back." He grumbled. I slightly looked away, hoping I didn't anger him.

"Don't worry, darling. I'll make sure you and your brothers will be alright." He told me before he stood up. He walked over to me, smirking a bit. "Now, I want you to be a good lady today. You know I will have a meeting with Pan in Black Castle later today." He told me and then he lifted my chin gently with his hook. "I know you wanted to come with me, but that would be too risky, Wendy. No, I can't have you walking around there when Pan is there to cause you misfortune like last time." He told me. "Really? Just because I could get hurt? Well, I suppose I will listen to you this time." I mumbled amused. "Only this time?" He grinned. I just nodded. "I guess you still need to learn a lot, Darling." He told me, before he leant in a little closer.

"Captain, the men are ready to leave." Of course Mr. Smee had the best timing to storm into the room. I could hear James groaning in annoyance, looking at Mr. Smee very frustrated. "Didn't I tell you to knock on the door before coming in..?" He muttered. Mr. Smee looked slightly panicked now. "O-oh, but I did knock, captain." He said, sounding honestly. "Okay," James rubbed his forehead a bit. "New rule. Wait until I answer you before coming in here." He told Mr. Smee, still looking annoyed. Mr. Smee nodded and then quickly left again. I don't think Mr. Smee wanted James to be too angry with him.

"Damn that Mr. Smee." I heard him mutter before looking at me. "So much for a little moment with you, Darling." He said, just pulling me close to him. He smirked when he looked into my eyes. "You'd better behave when I'm gone or else." He told me amused. "Are you saying I don't behave myself whenever you are gone? I'm offended!" I mumbled amused. "Are you now, Wendy? I suppose you have to prove it to me." He said before he let go of me. "Root for me, will you? Perhaps I make a fair chance this time." He said amused. I rolled my eyes and then I nodded. "I'll root for you. Go, before your crew is growing impatient." I told him with a grin.
