Chapter Two

Alex POV

"Can you baby sit my children while I'm playing"

"Yes! Of course I can"

"Great, so we are leaving Saturday, which is tomorrow, so once you get your stuff packed let me know"

He hands me his phone to put my number in it, I hand it back and he shoots me a quick text saying it was him, my phone buzzed knowing it was from him.

I thank Gerard and Shakira for the gifts and for inviting me to the party. I also thanked Leo for helping with the gift and for letting me go with him.

I was walking out to my car and I heard someone close the front door, I turned and looked to see Leo. The moon light lit his face up perfectly. He showed me his wonderful smile making me smile back, he walks over and gives me a hug.

"Thank you so much for coming with me to watch my children for the week, but can I ask you to do one more thing for me, we have training before we leave tomorrow, think you could come watch the kids then?"

"I would love to Leo"

"I would do anything in return for the stuff you have done for me thank you so much Alex, let me follow you home to make sure you are safe"

"Oh no, its fine I don't live but ten minutes down the road, how bout I just text you"

I respond quickly not wanting him to see where I live, its horrible, and plus no one really knows I live there.

"okay, please do text me, I'll see you tomorrow Alex"

I flash him a smile, getting into my car. I pull out of the drive way, heading to my house. I spot a couple of shady people so I make a loop around town before I park and sprint into my apartment, I lock the door quickly before my landlord could spot me. Because I'm the only female that lives here he likes to take advantage of me, and use me. I've tried getting help but he's always found out and punished me.

Meaning that I ate at Gerard's I'm not very hungry so I get to save some food that I have, I sit down on my bed texting Leo saying that I got home safely, barely, but I didnt say that part.

Ding, I check my phone seeing that he texted back.

L-i would like to thank you again for watching my kids, if I couldn't have taken them I probably wouldn't be able to see them anymore

What does he mean by that

A-its no problem, I don't mind at all, they look so cute from the pictures you have shown me

I just blow off what he says for now, its not the right time to ask him about it.

I hear a door slam loudly, knowing its my landlord, I hope he doesn't notice I'm here

Shit, I hear his foot steps approach my door

Ding, great that didnt help

L- I really owe you one for this, if you ever need anything just know I'm a text or a call away at anytime

A-thank you but you don't have to

Bam! He just slammed open my front door, I'm so scared right now he seems drunk and pissed off. I slide under my bed turning my phone on silent hiding it in my bed frame so he doesn't steal it like my other ones.

"Alex where are you, its time to play"

I can hear the drunkness in his voice and I can smell it from across the room. I will always hate that smell.

"Ahh, there you are, are you ready to have fun"

Right before he drags me out from under the bed I see my phone light up from Lionel texting me, I look my landlord right in the eyes before he drags me out of the apartment into his, all I see is dunk hatred towards me.

Lionel POV

I send her that last text telling her to call me in the morning to pick her up and bring her to my house and that I want to return her favor, I'm still waiting for a response.

I'm truly greatful for what she is doing and its also a plus for me because I won't feel as lonely anymore.

Its hard to live in such a big house with out my girlfriend, well ex girlfriend, she had an affair and walked out on me.

Hopefully her presence will also improve my performance because she is a great girl and Gerard even told me she's single. I will keep that in mind for the future but I'm not ready for a relationship right now, its only been a week since the affair. My girlfriend wants to take Thiago and Mateo but if I have any say thats not gonna happen, I'm not the one who walked out on them.

Its been over an hour and Alex hasn't responded, maybe she fell asleep. I sure hope so.

I hope in the shower to rinse off and clear my mind, its been a very eventful week.

I cut the shower off and head to my room the get ready for bed. Before I get in bed I check on the boys seeing them sleeping peacefully. They are oblivious to what has happened with their mother, but I would like to keep it that way until I think they are old enough to understand what happened. I whisper goodnight to them and head off to bed
