An alarm clock blared loudly, really loudly. “Ugh, nononononoNO!” Rin got out of bed and turned off the incessant noise. Sleepily she dragged herself to the bathroom and turned on the warm water. She tiredly managed to undress and step into the shower. “OUCH!” She howled, and quickly jumped back out.

Her foot was red from touching the extremely hot water. She reached towards the temperature adjustment knob, being careful not to let her arm come in contact with the water, and after turning it to a cooler temperature she once again stepped into the shower.

“UUUUUGGGGGHHHHHH” She exclaimed after coming in contact with seemingly ice cold liquid. Grumbling the whole while, she managed to change the temperature to an acceptable degree.

*Some time later*

Somehow Rin managed to get through the morning without severely injuring herself. Now she stood in front of the mirror surveying her outfit. “Hmmm....It’ll do” She said and dorkily gave herself a thumbs up before rolling her eyes and walking away to grab her purse.

She sighed and stood by the door of her apartment with her hand on the doorknob. “Goodbye.” She said quietly to the empty room. Walking out the door she began to walk to her job.

Her phone said it was 7:43 a.m. “Perfect!” She thought. Putting on her serious face, she walked out of the apartment buildings entrance, and stood in the faint sunlight. Nodding affirmatively to no one in particular Rin continued on her way to the office that she worked in

*Meanwhile*

Shizuo blinked sleepily. He lay in his bed comfortably wrapped in the cozy blankets. Yawning he stood and stretched. He began to roll up the bedding and proceeded to put it away. He walked to the bathroom and turned on the shower water, undressed, then stepped in.

The water was extremely cold. Shizuo merely shrugged his shoulders. He didn’t really care that much. Besides, cold water would probably wake him up more he figured.

After he had showered, dressed, and eaten, he sighed. “I suppose I should go to work now.” Wearing his regular bartender outfit, he walked out the door, grabbing his sunglasses on the way. It was 7:50 when he met up with Tawagari Tanoko. The man he worked for as a bodyguard, of sorts.

Tawargari was a financial collection agent to put it nicely. That could be a very dangerous job so he hired a partner. Shizuo was the lucky guy that took the job. It suited him. He could use his excessive strength and get paid handsomely for it.

What was the fall back? There wasn’t one as far as Shizuo was concerned, and although Tawagari did get frustrated with Shizuo’s somewhat extreme methods of collection, he kept it to himself by simply sighing and walking away when Shizuo was busy with applying them.
