"Hey, aren't you coming inside?" She smiled as the tiny droplets of water dropped down the roof and splashed on her little nose as she scrunched her face and giggled swatting away the droplet.
"No." I simply stated and turned my back to her. I looked up to the sky as little water droplets splashed in my eyes and I shut them tight and stuck my tongue out.
"Darling come inside." I could hear the sweet voice of my teacher say to the little girl who watched me dance around in the rain.
"Sweetie?" She asked me as I continued to hop around the black top and laughed and smiled so big it reached my ears.
"Yes Teacher." I responded. We all called her Teacher, we were 5 and that's what we did.
"Come inside sweetie or you'll get a cold!" She tried to bring me inside.
"Ok! But promise me you'll bake me fresh cookies! Chocolate chip is my favorite kind!" I yelped and skipped alongside her to the classroom again.
"Hey! What's your name?" I asked the girl who was soaking wet just like me.
"Mariah" She smiled at me.
"Hi I'm Luke, wanna be best friends?" I asked her
"Yes! and we can have play dates and play in the rain all day!" her smile continued to grow and she got so excited her started jumping around.
"That sounds so fun I'm gonna ask my mommy to have a play date tomorrow!" I ran to my mom.
