Chapter 10: Happy Birthday Sakura!

I woke up the next morning without an alarm clock problem. That was a first. I got out of my bed and brushed my teeth, then I headed toward the shower. 10 minutes later, I got out and blow-dried my hair. When my hair was dry, I did a french braid and I put on the Konoha High School uniform and did my daily makeup. My daily makeup consists of winged black eyeliner, a little bit of mascara and nude pink lipstick.

I ran downstairs to the kitchen to prepare grilled cheese for breakfast. When it was done, I served the grilled cheese for myself with a chai tea latte.

While eating my food, my phone made a sound, indicating that I got a new text message. 'Rrringg!'

I picked up my bag and went through the pocket that I placed my phone in. I checked the message, it was from Naruto.

"Good morning, Sakura-chan! We have a surprise for you when you come to school. :)"

'A surprise?' I thought. I shrugged it off and went back to finishing my breakfast. Nothing beats melted cheese with crunchy and crispy butter-bread and a hot latte.

I walked to the train station on a nice, sunny day in March. I really didn't feel like driving today, but I was in a pretty good mood. Just curious about what Naruto meant by a surprise.

I got off the train and looked around the school. Things are still the same. Awkwardly, I walked inside the school and headed straight to my locker.

As I arrived to my locker, I looked around. Still no sign of Naruto or the others anywhere. What the hell is going on?

I quickly unlocked my combination lock and quickly opened my locker. My jaw dropped.

When I opened my locker, confetti blew up in my face. My locker was filled with boxes of chocolate, wrapped presents, balloons, a giant teddy bear that took up half the space in my locker, streamers and banners were everywhere. The banners said "Happy Birthday!"

I literally screamed out "Oh my god!" with a huge smile on my face.

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY, SAKURA!"

I turned around to see Ino, Hinata, Tenten, Naruto, Sasuke, Shikamaru, Kiba and Neji behind me. I literally started crying tears of joy. What amazing friends I have. In all honesty, I've never had friends like this, or sadly should I say, I never had friends at all until now. I was a lonely loser for my whole life as far as I can remember. It's great to have friends like them.

Ino ran up to me and hugged me, "Happy birthday, forehead."

Then, Naruto hugged me. "HAPPY BIRTHDAY SAKURA-CHAN!"

Hinata hugged me next, "H-happy birthday, Sakura-chan."

After Hinata, Tenten hugged me, "Happy birthday girl!"

Kiba was next to hug me and said "Happy birthday biffle, even though we just met a few weeks ago."

Surprisingly, Neji hugged me. "Happy birthday."

Shikamaru yawned before approaching me, "Happy birthday Sakura." And then gave a hug.

Of course, Sasuke was last. It feels like they planned this all out. Nevertheless, he went up to me and said, "Happy birthday loser." He then smirked inwardly.

"Thanks jerk." I smirked inwardly too. We both reached in for a hug at the same time and eventually we hugged just like that. He smelled good, and he was warm. Though he's a cold jerk.
