At her name I went on full alert, listing intently. I promptly decided that it mattered not where I was as, long as she was here with me.
"Yeah, she's at your place, having a conniption, I might add." Stated Remus, apparently in response to a question I had not heard.
"Is Lily with her?" Pressed James concernedly.
"Last I heard," the former replied nonchalantly, "they were about to be on their way, if they were planning on staying together I know not."
James sighed in defeat. "I suppose she wasn't holding up well." The statement was directed at Remus. I was, however, surprised to find that I was the one who responded.
"I want to see her." I pressed forcefully, standing up as I spoke.
Two pairs of eyes fixed upon me, a small, relieved smile graced Remus' too young face. James simply looked triumphant as he clapped me on the shoulder and exclaimed "well let's go find her then!"
In that moment I realized I would once again be with my love. I didn't even feel my heart stop.
