Tasha had her eyes closed. Her face was expressionless, hard like a rock. The boy was cleverer than they had thought. The laser looked quite impressive up close. It seemed that their plan could be disrupted. They had to wait and watch over the situation.
Larry stood up. His face was peaceful now. In fact, he hadn’t been outraged at all in the first place.
“Do we just let them go?” Tasha stood up.
“We never did let them go. They’re still in the palm of our hands.” Larry smiled.
“And the boy?” Tasha dusted Larry’s orange golf shirt.
“Actually, he might come in quite handy. He’ll lead her to TITAN. He’s the key to everything.” Larry’s eyes sparkled.
But Tasha was still worried.
The boy was cleverer than he thought.
