Twentieth Chapter

"I always wear black because I want to be ready for your funeral."

That was Crystal's answer when Elizabeth Johnson, a famewhore-britney spears-wannabe, asked her why she always wear black clothes. Crystal doesn't like the color black because she said it will made her look 'too skinny'. We had a dare and she lose that's why she wore black clothes the whole week. She is a very beautiful girl. All of the other girls envy her. But right now, her beauty is nowhere to be seen.

I cried the moment my eyes saw her face. Her body. She look so broken. Her skin is so pale. Scars and dark violet and reddish marks are all over her body. Even make-up can't cover it. She's holding a boquet of red roses. They're dry and full of torns. I don't understand why this happen.

"Chandria?" a woman calls me from behind. I turn around and see two people. The woman is in the mid forties while man looks older and he's an american. You can see the beauty in the woman's face. She has the same eye color with Crystal. The man has the same hair color with Crystal. The couple look so perfect together and I know who they are : Crystals Parents.

"Mr. & Mrs. Veldez..." I said. My voice is shaking. "I'm sorry ---" she stopped me with a tight hug.

"Thank God you're okay." she said and started to cry. She lean back and hold me on the shoulders, "We thought you were dead."

"Crystal told us that you were missing. Then earlier, we saw Martin and he said he was with you.

I wasn't with Martin. I came here all alone. What are they talking about. I'm still in shock of every thing that happened. I don't know what to react. Her parents doesn't look devastated.

"I have to excuse myself." I told them and bow a little. I walk around to look for Martin.

"Oh I'm sorry." I said to the person that I just bump. I look at the face and see who it was. "Valmer?!"

"Chandria?! What are you doing here?" he ask in return. I take a step back. If he's here then... "He's not here, Chandria. It's only me and Trinity."

I shake my head. I don't need these demons right now. What I need is a friend who can help me. I continue to walk around. I walk pass a group of girls who are crying too. Almost all of the people here are crying. I stop at a small table near the stairs. A picture of me and Crystal are on it. It was our very first picture together. Her arms was hugging my waist and my arms are around her neck. Our faces are glued together and we are so happy. This was around third week of July.

A drop of tear fall down on her face as I look at it closely. I just couldn't believe it. She's gone. The only person that has been with me is gone. She will not come back. She went to a place that not even a single transportation vehicle can go. She left me. Another important person in my life left me. Another unfair event happened and I can't take it back. Not anymore.

"C-Chandria?" I turn around and see Martin. His eyes are puffy. Its so red. He must be crying all day. And till now, tears are falling down from his eyes.

I quickly hug him and he hug me back. I put down the frame and look at him closely. Something is wrong. I know him and there's something wrong.

"Come with me." he said in a low voice. I nod and he took my hand. We go out of the house and walk to his car. Its a different car than the one that we used that night.

He let go of me and run his fingers through his hair. He's shaking. Something is up. He look at me and his eyes are a little dark. Is he on drugs? He took a step towards me.
