the words of my beating heart

As I walk through the door to my house I smell alcohol and thats when I knew David was home. David spotted me and ran to me , he pushed me up against the wall.

"Where have you been?" David yelled at me.

"School." I said scarcely

"Well its almost five..." David said "Get to the basement," i shake my head 'no' "NOW!" David yelled

I walked down to the basement where the whips, hand cuffs, and poles. I already knew what he was going to do but I was even more scared because he was drunk.

David came down and took off my shirt and jeans then hand cuffed me to the pole. I had a single tear run down my cheek when he grabbed the thick leather whip. As he walked over to me.

"How about we have some fun, shall we?' David laughed. By now I was sobbing.

The first hit came and I already knew it was going to last till he had ten hits in.

After the tenth hit I was on the floor and David was gone. I stole the key for the hand cuffs and put it in my bra. I reached in my bra and grabbed the key as I winced in pain. As I unlocked then I stood up weakly and headed up stairs.

When I got upstairs I noticed David was gone. I walked up to my room and called my best friend Nicole.

"Hello, Teegan are you okay?" Nicole asked as soon as she answered and I could hear the concern in her voice.

"No." I started to cry "David beat me again."

"I am coming to pick you up, right now!" Nicole said while hanging up.

I didn't want to move, because it hurt so much but I crawled to my bathroom and grabbed my razor. I put five slashes in my thigh. I cried in more pain. Then I heard my door open...
