(MY WRITING WILL GET BETTER AS I PRACTICE AND WRITE THIS SHITTY FANFIC :3)

There was a pause, creaks echoing through the hall, before the cuban weaved his head through the cracked door. The castle was completely quiet, no one in the halls, lights dimmed. He knew that Pidge gave him a perfume that covers his scent, but it was night and he didn't think about putting it back on. With blurry eyes he navigated the halls to the bathroom. When the bathroom grew close he heard a soft hushed voice comimg from the closed door, and immediately, Lance knew it was Keith.  Though Keith was only a beta, his personality made up the rest.

Before Lance could even turn around or go in, Keiths voice rang out from the opened door. His soft eyes landed on Lance as he waited for the brunette to respond. The problem was that Lance didn't hear Keith, and he couldn't smell anything either. He felt sick, his stomach churning as he looked to the wall, placing his hand firmly on it to stay upright.

"W-what d-did you say Keith?" Keith watched for a second, seeing how Lance was obviously going to fall.

"Lance, are you okay?"

"I dont know... I-I just feel so sick."

He tried to step forward using the wall but his left foot wouldn't move, making him trip. The raven haired boy lurched forward instictly to catch Lance. Pulling him up to his chest he lumbered into the bathroom, not knowing what to do and trying to stay calm. Laying Lance down on the floor, he was overcome with the omegas overwhelming scent. He didn't need to guess to know that Lance was in heat. But would he get sick from that? He wasnt exactly sure, but he decided to get some wet paper towels. laying them on Lances forehead. Washing his own hands before he picks Lance up, huffing as he slides through the narrow door walking to the omegas room. Lance usually stayed inside his room alone or with Pidge, but at least it was some company. When they got to his door Keith thought about getting Pidge, so she could deal with this problem.

Keith took a deep breath, deciding to just drop Lance off at his bed and leave. With careful steps he weaved over his gaming system and placed him on his bed. The room stunk of the omegas heat, the sweet smell drifting around the room. Keith pinched his nose not wanting to do ill to the weak omega that was now curled up to his pillow, the wet towels on the bed next to him. With a sigh, the raven haired boy stepped out of the door way.

Closing the door Keith shifted, going to his room and put on his coat noticing on the fact that Shiro, was infact awake. The thought of him finding Lance in his heat made Keith shiver but he didn't know why. A beta can't impregnate an omega, so they wouldn't have a future together, but the raven haired still felt protective.

He looked out across the hall to where Pidges room was, deciding that making her guard Lance was the best choice. With a sigh he pulled his jacket straight, fixing his gloves as he moved to her door. Surpisingly, she was awake as Keith could hear beeps from her radio system. He didn't understand any of it but, it still kinda made sense? Oh well.

He knocked on the door, and at first there was no response, but then Pidges voice sounded over the beeping.

"Come in."

Hesitantly, he opened the door, seeing the small beta sitting crisscross on the floor. Her eyes glued to the hollographic screens. Awkwardly he tapped her shoulder, pulling her head piece back.

"Lance passed out in the bathroom... he's in heat, and I dont want Shiro t-" Keith didn't need to finish his sentence since Pidge got up rapidly, shutting down her tech and picking up a small grey bag.

"You hunt down Shiro, I'll help Lance- wait, is he still passed out?"

Keith nodded and she pushed her glasses up walking out the door. Standing there wouldn't help anything so the boy softly turned, closing her door and looked down the hall. To the right was the center com room, where Shiro smokes when Allura isn't around, as she hates it. Left was the kitchen and Lounge area. Of course he went right stiffly turning around every corner to look for the tall male.

You would think that they were brothers, or close in that way. But with Lance being an omega, and us being trapped in a castle with that luring scent, Shiro became different. More stressed then ever, and smoked whenever he could. Everyone would stop him from doing so but it wasn't the original cigar. It was modified by aliens, and it actually didn't hurt your body at all. It just tastes and smells good, and is supposed to relieve stress.

When Keith entered the com room, the smell of sweet citris hit him hard. Shifting, he looked around seeing him in one of the chairs. His right hand held his stress reliever, the other loosely in his lap. Slowly, Keith walked up and sat across in what was his chair, as he sat in Lances.

    "Control yourself."

Shiro looked at Keith, startled at first as he blew out smoke. Shifting in the chair before glancing out the windows into space.

"I'll try my best Keith."

"Thats not good enough. I mean it. Lance is a team member, you can't hurt him."

He eyed the raven haired after he spoke, and he realized as well how protective it sounded. Shiro chuckled slightly, taking another wiff of his cigar.

"I wont touch your property."

Keith choked, coughing as he stood up. His hands brushing his hair back as he tried to calm down.

"I'm not saying this because I love him Shiro, I'm saying this because he is a person and a team member."

Now Shiro stood up, flicking the dead cigar in the trash shoot. His eyes meeting Keith's in that cold stone stare he could give.

"Ill stay away from him like I usually do. It's not the first time he's gone into heat, so why are you acting up now?"

Keith parted his lips to answer, but he had nothing to say. Shiro gave a small nod walked away, ending the conversation there. Keith watched him angrily but he didn't chase. He knew better than to anger Shiro, especially right now.

Sitting down he leaned back in his chair, looking out into space. His eyes automatically drifted to Lances chair and he winced away. Could him and Lance be a thing? Even if they couldn't have kids or be safe with three alphas in the castle. Sighing he closed his eyes calming himself as his head whirled with the new future he could have with the sharp shooter.
