Ch.3 "A Cute Picnic Gone Wrong"

Sonics pov: I'm so happy I got a new friend! I mean, he was a little frightening when I first heard him and he looked scary when I actually saw him for the first time, but he turned out to be an awesome friend. He sometimes helps me out when I battle Robotnik and we hang out afterwards too. Today he greeted me when I woke up and after my morning routine, me and Exy went for a run. Well, by "me and Exy", I mean I ran while he followed by flying beside me. We decided to sit down underneath a small tree. I sat on one side of the tree while Exy sat on the opposite side. You know, its kinda funny how opposite we are yet how we still get along so well. I really do enjoy his company. I had packed us a small picnic basket so we can eat. Exe didn't really need to eat but he definitely had a few favourites. He really liked sweet food. Once I had made some tea, he asked me if we could put sweet things into it. I told him why not so he grabbed the honey jar and spooned some in before I could even blink. It ended up tasting good though so I didn't complain. Suddenly Exy picked up a chocolate covered strawberry and put it up to my mouth...

Sonic.Exes pov: "Say ah!", I cooed to my laughy saffiy. He looked surprised and kinda embarrassed. He quickly turned his head away while he blushed madly. Even his ears were starting to turn a bit reddish. "Oh come on, don't be shy~", I purred seeing how much cuter he could get. "Exeeeeee...", he whined, his ears flattening to his head. I poked his check with the strawberry and told him I would keep bugging him until he did. He finally complied and opened his mouth. "Ahhhh", he said. I gently put the fork into his mouth. He looked sooooo cute!
"Aw, You look so cute all embarrassed like that!".
"W-What? I'm not embarrassed!", he half said, half yelled. "Sure you aren't...", I said, rolling my eyes. He started pouting and crossed his arms. His ears were still against his head. I suddenly hugged him which kinda startled him a bit. I then said, "I swear, your far to cute for this world!". He shyly hugs back and I can just feel the heat radiating off his face. After a little while of simple chit chat and a few more quick snacks, we head back to Sonic's place. I do have my own home but it's kinda cold and very dark there so Sonic lets me stay with him sometimes. He's so kind. *Rustle Rustle* Wait...I think I heard something. *Whish, Rustle Rustle*...what is that...*SNAP*. A robot leaped from out of one of the trees and went directly for sonic. "*small gasp* Sonic Look out!", I yelled. Sonic saw the robot and dodged its attack. The robot was about the same height and size as sonic but a little taller. The robot was different shades of green, blue and brown. It's face wore a scowl and glaring eyes. The right eye was a dark shade of blue and the left eye was a light Shade of green. The arms had cannons attached to the end of them and it wore big, blue boots. At the top of its head it had tube like horns with holes at the top. It dashed after sonic, closing in for a punch. Sonic avoided the punch by bolting out of the way.

Normal pov (Because it's easier): Exe was very on edge. Something seemed...off. It was like his instincts were screaming at him, warning him that something bad was about to happen. The robot dashed for a spinning kick and hit spot on. Sonic went flying and slammed into a nearby tree. He shrieked out in pain, blood seeping out of his mouth like a miniature waterfall and making him slightly gag. Then, not even a second later, he blacked out, his eyes slowly shutting as he dropped to the ground with a dull thud. Exe was wide eyed and beyond shocked. Tears formed in his eyes as small blood droplets. They started, one by one, gliding down his muzzle and shiny against the rays of the bright sun. He let out a deep, dark and low growl. His eyes filled with hatred, and a longing....a longing for revenge. It was payback time. Exe teleport mere inches from the vile robot. He snatched its head in one hand/claw and started setting it aflame. It melted from the burning fire desperately trying to escape Exes hold. When it finally stopped moving, Exe ripped it apart, wire by wire until it was completely dismembered. Black goo started flowing out of the robots creaks and orifices. Exe flue to Sonics side and gently placed him in a comfortable position in his arms. Exe softly cried, resting his head carefully on Sonics as to not get poked by his sharp quills. He started healing Sonic with his powers, but then he heard a weird noise...*Slurp*. it sounded like some kind of...liquid? Not water but something squishy like. He reluctantly looked to the robot to find that all the black goo was starting to mold the wires and robot parts together like glue. Exe watched in surprise and slight horror as the robot, no...as the thing rebuilt itself. Exe was shaking and started having beads of sweat roll down his face. It was one of the first times, in a long time, that Exe was scared.

Sorry for the cliffhanger but I thought it would be suspenseful :) hope you've liked the story so far, tell me your opinion and ideas for future chapters in the comments! Also tell me if you would like me to write about another sonic ship like Sonadow for example. I will also except gravity falls, star vs the forces of evil, maybe Steven universe or even Pokémon!
