"People think that being alone makes you lonely, but I think they are wrong." He said, while staring off into space.

"Why is that?" She asked curiously.

"Because being surrounded by the wrong people is the loneliest thing in the world." He answered and she furrowed her eyebrows in wonder.

"I guess you're right." She chuckled bitterly. "I'm currently living through that to know."

"I did." He said, turning to look at her with a breathtaking smile.

"Really?" She raised an eyebrow in amusement. "You seem to have a lot of great friends."

"Yeah, but I'm saying I had been friends, once, with the wrong people." She nodded in understanding, as he said that.

"Hmm, I guess you could say I hang around those people, still." She said and started doodling in her notebook. "You being an exception, obviously."

"Why do you still hang around those people?" He questioned her and she stopped doing what she was doing, turning to look at him.

"I don't know." She answered after a few seconds. "I guess they help me escape this cruel world that we call reality."

"By doing drugs?"

"Yeah."
