Cheshire is my name... Bonkers is my game

Before the Underlanders realized it months had past and Christmas break was right around the corner.

The group had no other option but to stay at the school and so as all the students who were going home climbed onto the train the Underlanders stayed on the Astronomy Tower.

As they sat there and talked Severus came and started to speak with them.

"Are you sure you're all not sane? You seem as though you are." He told them.

"We are sane just in our own way. Cheshire however..." The White Rabbit said.

"I'm mad. Bonkers. Off my head. And you think me sane? If that's so... then you've never met me." Cheshire said as she floated around Severus' shoulders in her cat form.

"You truly are Bonkers," Severus said as he looked at the grin on the cats face.

The cat nodded and evaporated to Alice's shoulders.

She started out at the view the Astronomy Tower held, as the other continued to talk with Severus.

After a long while, they all left to the Great Hall.

Cheshire walked silently behind the rest of the group and when she a presence next to her she looked up to see the Hatter.

"You ok Kitty?" He asked.

"When am I ever ok Tarrant?" The girl retorted.

"True. When was the last time you actually slept?" Tarrant asked.

"How old am I?" Ches asked.

"Over 3,000 I believe. Why?"

"Then the last time I slept was 2,000 years ago," Ches replied once they reached the Great Hall.

Tarrant stared wide-eyed at the girl and went to sit next to her at the table.

As Severus watched he could not but help to feel jealous of the male who sat next to a grinning Cheshire.

After dinner that same day Cheshire was walking down the corridors when Severus caught up with her.

"What are you?" He asked after a moment of silence.

"I'm an it. I have no definite name. I am called the Cheshire Cat but I have no actual species. I am the only one of my kind." She told him.

"So you're an it?" Severus asked.

"Yes." Cheshire replies.

"Oh."

They then fell back into silence.

"Is there anything on your mind you'd like to talk about?" Severus asked.

"No." Cheshire replied.

Finally Cheshire decided to head to the dorm.

As she was about to enter the dorm she turned back to the potions professor.

"Oh and professor..." Cheshire started.

A nod from Severus lead her to continue.

"Cheshire's the name... and Bonkers the game."

Then she entered the dorms.
