Abducted

Chapter 4

Brandon

As I watch her go into the building I can't think of any reason for someone to want to hurt her. She is just a normal girl. Yea she is a model and has a daughter no one knows about, but she just wants to protect her child. I grab my phone and punch in my bosses number.

"Hello" Victor says.

"It's me Brandon."

"How is everything going? Did she give you any idea as of who she thinks this person could be?"

"It's going as expected, but there has been a change in the plans. She doesn't want to talk about the incident that happen to her last year and she doesn't know who could be doing this. At least she hasn't said anything about it yet." I tell him,

"What do you mean by 'a change in plans'?" He asked me. 

"Well it turns out that she doesn't live alone. Turns out that she has a young daughter. We are going to need Mike on this one. I think he will be best for this job since he is a dad himself. Also another thing, she doesn't want the press or anyone to know about her daughter."

" She hasn't said anything about having a daughter. It isn't in the records. I will be sure to keep it all out of the reports for now. I will call Mike right after I get off the phone with you. He only gets his son on weekends and when he isn't on a job you know that Brandon."

"Yea I do but he will know how to protect a child. He understands where Mia is coming from with having a hole child thing. Plus he will only be needed while Mia is working and away from her daughter."

"I understand Brandon. I'll have him meet you at Miss Mia's home."

"Thanks Vic."

I hang up the phone and toss it to the passenger seat. I can't help but wonder what Mia is hiding. What is her story? Why was she so quit on the ride to her job? I stop the truck in front of Mia's home. I see Olivia bending down in the grass. Trish standing not for from her. Olivia looks up from where she was and stands and runs over to me.

'How can anyone want to hurt an innocent child. If I was her father I would have wanted to know about her so I could be here to protect her. That is exactly what I plan to do while I am here. She deserves someone there for her.'

"Look."

I bend down to see what she is holding.

"It a catpiller."

"That is cool. You know they turn into beautiful butterflies. How bout we go put this little guy in a jar so you can watch him. I'm sure your mom has a few jars that you can use."

Trish walks over to us.

"Hello Mr. Brandon. I think Miss Mia keeps some out back. I'll bring her to go get it."

"No that wont be necessary. Miss Olivia can show me where it is."

"Yea Tish I bing him." Olivia says as she takes my  hand with her free hand and pulls me along.

I follow Olivia to the side of the house where there are a few bins. Olivia lets go of my hand and walks over and opens one of the bins and pulls out a jar.

"I got one." Olivia says running over to me.

"This looks just right. Now lets go get it a branch and some leaves. We also have to put holes in the top so it can breath." I tell the young girl.
