30:00

Thirty minutes. Thirty fucking minutes until school starts. And guess what? My idiotic brothers aren't awake yet.

I can't exactly blame them, though. It's the first day of school, and I myself woke up just fifteen minutes ago.

I tread down to the kitchen and decide to get us some quick breakfast. Of course, it was Aaron's turn to make it, but... I guess I'll just do it myself.

I take out some Eggo waffles from the freezer, humming to myself in an attempt to calm down.

If there's one thing that embarrassing, it's being late on the first day of school. Talk about making a 'great' impression.

24:38

Breakfast is ready, and there's still no sign of my brothers. If I had the choice, I would just leave without them, but I can't drive yet and my bike is just a junk pile since my lovely twin decided to run it into a tree over the summer.

Well, if they don't wake up themselves, I'm going to have to wake them up myself. I practically inhale the waffle, still chewing when I turn to the stairs so that I can go upstairs. On the way, I bump into someone.

"Charlene? You're still here?" I ask in surprise.

She nods, passing me to the kitchen where she pours herself a glass of milk. "Yeah. Accidentally fell asleep with Aaron last night. I knew that would happen though, which is why I'm all set now." She says, patting her backpack to indicate that she's ready.

I sigh. "Any sign that that idiot is going to wake up?"

She laughs and shrugs. "I told him to wake up after I took a shower, but all he replied with was an mmmph." She imitates him and I laugh as well.

"Good luck!" She shouts as I ascend the stairs.

21:43

"Aaron, I swear to fucking God! If you don't wake up this second I will murder you alive!" I yell, shaking him around.

"Mmm..."

I roll my eyes and head to my twin's room. I should have known that waking up Aaron would be a waste of time.

I nearly tear down Jared's door, I'm so angry. "Jared!"

He shoots up from his bed, sitting up right and wide eyed. When he sees me standing there, arms crossed, he places his palm on his heart. "Jesus, Alex, you scared the shit out of me!"

"Good! We only have-" I check my watch. "-twenty minutes to get to school."

"Alright, alright." He says, rubbing his eyes. "I'll be down in a few."

"Okay. Breakfast will be ready when you get there." I say, turning around to head back downstairs. "You better be ready!"

18:58

"I thought you said Jared already woke up?" Charlie asks, leaning on the kitchen island.

"He did." I say, re-heating his waffle. "I don't know what's taking him so long." Usually the boys take forever to get up but change in lightning speed.

Charlie sighs. "Boys will be boys."

"Damn straight." I mutter.

We wait for a few more moments, until I'm seriously beginning to wonder what's going on.

"You know what, let's team up. You wake up Aaron while I figure out what's wrong with Jared."

"Good idea." She says. We head up the stairs, not caring if we make loud noises or not. Then we split off where to the different rooms.
