The Secret Boyfriend's POV
"Honey, I'm home!" Sabbie's voice filled the empty room.
"Hello, my dear!" a man walked out from the kitchen, grabbed her around her waist, and swung her around, before kissing her passionately.
"Honey, I'm home!" Sabbies voice filled my terror stricken brain. I woke up with a jerk, sitting up in my sofa. Peter, her roommate, was a dead man if I found out he ever touched her in any other way than brotherly.
"What, how, huh?" I started at her as she dropped down on the seat next to me.
"I sneaked out from my work's weekly late Thursday meeting, only to be greeted with a sweaty, sleepy, adorable boyfriend. Yup, I can live with that." She kissed me, and I enveloped her in my arms.
"Ok seriously, are you alright? You seem a bit..." She waved her hand in the air while grimacing.
"Just had a bad dream, darling. Nothing to worry about. Now, how was your night with your friends? Pillow fights? Dirty secrets? Naughty lingerie?"
"Don't you wish!" She laughed as she leaned on me. "But I do have news. My friend Daisy has just become engage to a guy she met that evening you and I first talked."
"Whoa, that's fast!" I sat back, staring down at the woman by my side. "How are you feeling about this?"
"I'm happy for her, of course. Although I can't help but feel a bit worried. It is so soon. They have only known each other for less than 2 weeks-"
"13 days"
"-and they are already planning a weeding!" she finished, while giving me a small shake of her head.
"So you don't believe in love at first sight?" I pulled her closer to me as she pulled her legs up on the sofa.
"No, not love. I do believe people can feel lust at first glance, and feel comfortable with each other immediately, but love is so deep, so much more than initial attraction."
"I believe in love at first sight." At her snort of disbelief, I kissed the top of her head. "I should be the last person declaring this, with my history, but I know what lust at first glance feels like, and it's nothing like what love feels like. It's a connection between two souls that goes beyond explaining. Maybe it can only happen for some people, but I don't doubt for a second that I fell in love with you the first time I saw you. The first time I talked to you. The first time we did those naughty things."
"Well, ok, if we say you did fall in love with me, then you're saying my personality wouldn't change how you feel?" She turned around to give me a serious stare down.
"I'm not saying that. Rather, love grows. With each new experience, love grows a little bigger, a little more consuming." I touched her cheek. "And you might not be able to accept it just yet, but I do love you. And each day that passes, I become more and more certain."
"Certain?" she scrunched her eyebrows together.
"Certain that I did recognise your soul as my mate, that first time I met you."
"Please don't say you're a werewolf next?! I can handle you being a romantic fairy-tale believer, but a werewolf is too hard to swallow."
"Oh I am no werewolf. I'm offended. Do you see an enormous beard on this handsome face? No, I'm a vampire, and I've been searching for your soul since the beginning of time. Now come, my lovely, so I can feast on your body and your blood." With that I pulled a laughing Sable up from the sofa, and dragged her into the bedroom.

"I do have something serious to discuss with you." I mumbled as I traced a pattern on his chest. Yup, no possibility of James being a werewolf. His chest was scarcely sprinkled with dark chest hair.
"Discuss away my darling." He yawned as he let his hand behind my shoulders drift down to draw a line across my left collarbone.
"Well, my friend, Daisy, who just got engage to Max? they are throwing an engagement party, and I was kinda wandering if you wanted to come?"
"Huh?" his hand stilled. "are you asking me to be you plus one?"
"Um yes, I guess I am." I answered, trying to turn so I could look him in the face. "Unless you rather not..."
"No chance. This is the moment I have been waiting for." He flicked my nose. "Does this mean I'm not your dirty little secret anymore?"
"I guess? Its mostly family and friends. Daisy suggested it to be a soft start." I let my head drop down on his arm again.
"I agree. So will I meet your family?"
"My big brother, Simon, is dating my friend, Christie, so he will be there as her date, I'm guessing." I yawned while stretching my legs. "my other friend, Kelly, is dating Caleb Ashton, the crime novelist I'm drawing illustrations for."
"Ok, then I have a deal for you. Since I agree do go with you to this engagement party, then you will come to dinner at my family's house next Sunday."
"What?" I sat straight up. "I thought you wanted to go public?"
"I do, but we have to be equals in this relationship. If you get to show me off, then I want to show you off too. To my family, to my close and dear. I have never taken a girl home before, so imagine their gratefulness."
"I'm not so sure." I mumbled as I dragged the cover up around me. "I'm not what ever mother dreams for their son."
"you are so much more, because you are real, not a dream." he tugged me down next to me. "now, when is this engagement party?"
"Next Friday." I sigh, cuddling closer as I willed the dark shadows telling me I was making a mistake to leave me alone.
The Soon Not-so-secret Boyfriend's PoV
I laid silent next to Sable as she snuggled into me. I felt a smile form on my lips as her leg shifted to lie over one of mine, her hand resting, unintentionally I would wager, over my heart. Things were growing fast between us. I wasn't sure if she was feeling it as deeply as I was, but my heart could barely contain all the emotions I felt whenever I simple thought of her, even less so with her lying next to me. I had never been more satisfy, and it wasn't simple because of the pleasurable acts we had done earlier, but rather a deeper and more emotional satisfaction. I felt at peace, at home, with her in my arms. It was weird, as I never preferred to cuddle afterwards. Indeed, I had preferred to do the act of love anywhere but in bed. Act of love! I nearly scuffed. I had never understood what it had to do with sex, until now. Now I felt that particular emotion growing. It scared me, but only slightly. I had known from the beginning Sable would be different. My overwhelming reaction to simple seeing her for the first time had warned me. I had told her the truth earlier. We were soulmates. And, as I had told myself before, I was more than ready to change my unattached life if I could always feel this close the girl lying in my arms. If I could always have her in my life, I would never look back to the life before. It had become insignificant, obsolete, and I could never imagine living it again, after having the taste of something so real, so... I couldn't find the words to describe what was happening between us. And I couldn't tell if she believed me when I had told her I was falling in love with her. But I wouldn't press the subject. Not yet. She might not even take it seriously, simply believe it was a standard procedure for a 'player', but when I said those three all-important words to to her again, for the second time, I want her to be absolutely sure that I mean them.
And even if I had only known Sable for a very short time, only know very little about her background or her family, I had gotten to know her as a person, and I was certain that my future wife was laying in my arms. But thank God that Max fellow had softened the idea of marriage already, by proposing so early on to her close friend.
"Sweetheart?" I asked quietly, and got an incoherent mumble in response. I pulled her closer, drawing the blanket over our bodies, settling in for a few restful hours of sleep.
