It was somewhere in the 1200s and you were laying on your bed. Wondering why your older brother, Lopsided, was so greedy. Excuse me if that wasn't the French prince or whatever. He always needed everything. You, on the other hand, were humble and kind. You didn't care about the differences in religion.

One day you sat with your father, the king, at a table. Discussing nothing more than just family traditions. Your older brother came in with some monks. One who was wearing white and had a hairstyle you were not familliar with, one who was almost bald, another who wasn't able to speak and a handsome young boy. You looked at them in 'awe'. Their style was so different compared to yours.

*TIME SKIP*

The monk dressed in white had a long conversation with the king. You sat there impatient while they talked. After a while they did some sort of ritual you did not now exists. They finished and it quickly turned to night time.

Your father was drunk and your people too. "HAHA!" The king laughed. "You are quite hilarious! Aren't you??" Your father began to speak drunk while everyone at the table laughed with him. You couldn't take it anymore. You stood up and walked away. You see the monks sitting at a bonfire and decide to walk up to them. "Hi. Mind if I sit down?" You ask the young boy politely. He returns a nod and you sit next to him. "Hi. I'm Y/N. You?" You greet the handsome boy. "Diarmuid" He replies.

There was a long silence. Quite comfortable actually. "So where you headin' off too?" Diarmuid asks you. "Nowhere. There is no place for me to go" You say sad and look down. "Why not? Will they not let you?" He asks again. "My father says I could get killed. He says not to trust anyone who is not us. But I don't believe him." You reply soft. He looks at you. Feeling bad for you. He looks at the fire. Another silence was placed until the monk dressed in white came over. You knew he wouldn't let me stay here so you left. You waved goodbye to the boy and smiled sadly. He smiled back. You heard some yelling coming from the place where the monks were sitting.

The next day you woke up. It felt like any other day. Although it wasn't. Diarmuid and his monks were leaving. You felt sad because Diarmuid was the only boy who actually listened to you. The king holds a speech. A very long one. You stand in the crowd. "We shall give them our protection! Our strength! And one of our citizens so they will not stand alone!!" The king preeched. "They shall choose whichever citizen they want. We will not disagree!" The king finishes and nods at the monks. Diarmuid looks at you and you look at him with a smile of goodbye until...

"We choose Y/N L/N!" One of the monks say. You stand there in shock while you walk towards them. Diarmuid gives you a warm smile. You give him a confused look and say: "Why me?" "You wanted adventure. Didn't you?" He says back. The king stands there in shock and worries. "They have chosen Y/N L/N, my daughter, as their citizen." The king starts and tries not to cry. You wave to all your loyal people and wave at your father who is smiling, suprisingly. "I cannot believe I'm actually going somwhere else than my home!" You say to Diarmuid excitingly. "Thank you" You spit out. He nods in reply.

*TIME SKIP*

It has been 3 days on pilgrimage. You and Diarmuid have gotten to know eachother better. You two talk until you stop. "Wait" You whisper. All of the sudden an arrow falls from the sky and a bunch of French soldiers come and attack. One of the soldiers grabs you and you let out a whimp. "Sshh ........ Revenez au village. C'est sûr." The soldier says in French. You kick his balls, grab his sword and kill him. Then you fall to the ground. Diarmuid picks you up and then looks around. His body froze from being petrified. How could they betray them like that? You slowly open your eyes to Diarmuid infront of you. "W-we have to h-hide" You breath out while your eyes slowly close again. Diarmuid tries to hide but one of the soldiers let's him trip and you fall onto the ground. You wake up, dizzy and tired. You see everyone getting slaughtered and you slowly wake up and see a sword. You grab it and kill your French people. "Madame L/N! Que fais-tu??" One of the soldiers say. You didn't reply. Instead you killed everyone on the field except for the monks. There are a few soldiers left. One soldier killed one of the monks, another grabbed the carrriage and the stone and took it away and the rest lays on the floor. Remaining dead. Diarmuid goes over to the dead monk and looks at you in horror. "Did you know about this??" He asks you with tears rolling down his cheeks. "Did you know that this was gonna happen!!!??" He yells louder. "No, Diarmuid. I promise." You whisper to him. He lightly sobs while you pull him into a hug. You sob even louder because you realised you killed your people. Diarmuid hugs you tighter and you too sob into eachothers arms. "We have to keep moving. Find the stone" The monk dressed in white suggests and we all nod. "I know where they took one of your friends" You say to them.

You got to the place where the stone was. You all see the chest and one of the monks. The monk dressed in white explains the plan. We all agree. As I see my own bloody brother talking to this unfamilliar man, Diarmuid steps in and grabs a knife. I try to pull him back but I was too slow. "What are you doing?" The man said tied up. "I can't leave you" Diarmuid day back to him. "They're coming back soon. Grab the stone and leave Diarmuid." The man says worringly. "Go. Now. I'll be alright. I'm sacrificing for god" He reassures Diarmuid that there was nothing to worry about. Diarmuid grabs the stone and runs back. I hold his hand while watching my brother torture my best friends brother. Diarmuid stands up but I pull him back into a hug. We lightly sob. "I'm so sorry" I manage to spit out. He just replies with silent cries.

A few days later we were walking further. Trying to find someone who could bring us far away from my home. All of the flashbacks of a few nights ago came back and I started to cry without even noticing. "Hey. We can get through this." Diarmuid holds my hand. "It was my brother. My family who killed yours. How can you not-" You tried to say but was cut off by a small peck on the lips. "It's okay" He calmed you down. You give him a weak smile. "Sorry" You quickly apolagized to him. He held your hand. You two walked further until you heard someone behind you. *Krrr* You hear and decide to signal the monks to run down the hill. They all follow you and hear your brother. "Follow them!!" He orders and you all run for your life until you guys were stuck in a mossy river with mist everywhere.
"I cannot see" One of the monks say. "Let's hide here. If they hear us, we're dead" The monk dressed in white says. We all hide and wait for them to go. But they don't. Instead your brother has a whole speech about you. "Y/N! I know you're here!!" He begins. "You have betrayed our family and folk." He continues and a tear rolls down your cheek. "You can change the way you look, the way you dress, the way you talk, but you cannot change who you are!!!! You are one of us!!!" He yells and Diarmuid holds you. He didn't stop and didn't care about stopping until you couldn't take it anymore. "I AM NOT ONE OF YOU!!" You yell and then regret what you said. "C'mon. Don't be shy." Your brother mumbles. You finally come out. Diarmuid tries to hold you back but he was too late. "Why are you doing this to me?!" You yell at him. Finally being able to see him. "Me?!? YOU BATRAYED US!!" He screams. "I did what was right." You say back. "Well. Then I'm going to do what's right." He says and grabs the 'stick of truth' and stabs your stomach. You wheez in pain. Diarmuid comes in sight. "Nooooooo!!" He yells with tears rolling down his face.

"Tell me where the stone is and I'll stop." He orders. You don't reply. Instead you shake your head and curse from pain. He twists your organs and you squint your eyes. "Stop!!" Diarmuid orders. "I'll give you the stone!! Leave her alone!!" He cries out. Lopsided slowly pulls the weapon out of your body. You wince in pain and drop to the floor. "Give it to me boy" He looks at him dead in the eye while you slowly die in pain. Diarmuid gives the rock until the monk dressed in white shows up and grabs it from him. "Listen boy. She's already dying, for god. She sacrificed for god. Don't give it." He says seriously. "No! I will not! She's in pain!!" Diarmuid says in defence. "You will not disobey me. Right?" He says while making his point clear. He nods. "Run." I manage to yelp. "Please" I mouth to him and they all run away. "Get em!!!" Your brother yells. Diarmuid was hiding. Unlike the others. "I will not leave you my love" He says in a heavy accent. "You shall. You must. I'm worthless." You say to him. He kisses you for a few seconds. "I love you" He whispers while a few tears roll down his cheek. "I love you too" Is the last thing you said. Your eyes slowly closing while the last tear showed up.

Diarmuid was all alone now. Only you, who was dead, in his arms and him? He cried his eyes out until one final kiss on the cheek. "This is all my fault" He murmers. "I'm so sorry" He whispers again. He picks your dead body up and looks for his mates. "Diarmuid!! Where we-" One of the monks began to say until he saw you. Dead in his arms. "We shall bury her." A half monk says. "There is no time" the monk said dressed in white. Diarmuid didn't listen. He disobeyed and left them. He carried you on top of a mountain to bury you. He picks some beautiful roses and lays it on your body that was now in a deep hole. He burries you. Not caring about the French finding him. He left you buried with a few flowers on top and a wooden plank. After a while he saw one of the monks again, at a river. They were trying to get a ride from a man who wanted to trade. He stepped in and greets them. A taer rolls down his cheek. "She shall be remembered" A monk managed to spit out.

"She will"
