after a few moments of silence, Roman stood up.

"much like you, i grew up on the streets as well. my parents were members of the rebellion, and they died during a raid on a factory. i was seven. that winter i nearly died on the streets, when i found another girl my age, she led me to a small group of children and teens, trying to survive. i joined their group. most of the older teenagers held various odd jobs, and worked to keep everyone fed, the younger ones were told to focus on learning and education. and we all did small jobs or begged whenever we needed to. but we strived to never break any laws, or steal. most of us knew that our best chances were going to be joining the guard and the military. we lived like that for several years. me and the girl who had brought me in became very close, we did everything together. and over time our small family grew. and eventually more little children joined us, while older teens left for various purposes. soon, i was one of the oldest in the group. and it was coming close to when the guard would me making their recruitment rounds. me, the girl who had become my sister, and another girl, only about a year younger than me, all decided to join together. then we left, we went to the recruiters office and signed up. however, my sister wasn't approved for service. she got sent back, and ended up walking back to the group, alone, and a failure. the two of us that were approved were sent into the back of a truck, and we rode away. we thought we would be going into a better life, we ended up coming here. i swore i would protect her no matter what, she was all i had left. however, she wasn't sent here, she was sent into blue. she will do well doing support work, she was always the best to help us. i just wish that i can see her again."

Roman sat down. he spoke very fast to be able to get it over with, to share his story so he could sit again. everyone looked at him, the solider wannabe, who was sent here. everyone, but Dr. Norris and Ellie, who both looked away from him, Dr Norris looked off to the side, studying the walls, while Ellie looked directly at me, trying to make eye contact with me.
again we all sat in silence. then Caison stood up

he stood there awkwardly, and cleared his throat.

"i never knew my dad. he died before i was born. my mom raised me in the poor sectors, we moved around a lot, i didn't think too much of it, until one day i woke up to the sound of our front door being busted open and people rushing inside. a few masked men barged into my room, and grabbed me from my bed. they dragged me to the living room, and threw me down on the floor, i watched them drag in my mom, and beat her up pretty good. then they told her that they would be taking me to pay off her debt to them. i cried and kicked and screamed. but they took me. they said they were part of a rebellion group. operating under the rebellions leadership, but a separate entity. they used me as a slave, basically. i did chores and jobs around the compound, i cleaned their weapons, and stocked up their ammo. eventually they began to teach me things like how to fight. but still i was nothing more than a tool for them. they told me that they had been ordered by the rebellion to train up members to fight for them. after almost two years of this, i was put on patrol duty. i could see that a rival gang was approaching our headquarters. there wasn't enough time to sound the alarm, so i grabbed a gun off of the wall, and began shooting. after i ran out of bullets, i attacked them one on one. by the time the other members made it outside, they were all dead. "

he looked me dead in the eyes as he said that. i gulped slightly.

"after that, i was deemed one of them, and they began to treat me like a human. they gave me guard duty over the leaders baby sister, she was only a few years younger than me. and we grew close. i protected her every single day. then the leader decided to plan a raid, he claimed that it had come down from ShadowDove herself. the men went wild for it, the plan was to attack the governors house. my job would be to take his sister, and hide out nearby, far enough away to be safe, but close by enough to make a rendezvous point before we headed out to a new headquarters in a new city. we followed the plan, but something went wrong. before we got the signal to leave, the guards showed up and arrested us. we were placed in cells, and eventually thrown into this dump."
