Adrian Scott
The beaming sun slowly rose over the peaks of the Rocky Mountains, the light shinning directly into my eyes and causing for myself to wake with a groan. I seriously hate the sun, but I have to deal with it. At least it's better than waking up by an alarm clock. Before I could regester what time it was, my sister decided to text me, my phone buzzing on the bedside beside me with her song blaring. Adrian, when will you pick up the phone? Will you leave your twin all alone? I know you love me like I do you, now please pick up before I say screw it to you! I lightly chuckle, she always did make me laugh.
I flipped open the screen and turned it to the side so the keyboard was at hand, I read her text and smiled faintly, when has she ever wanted to party? She may be a cheerleader, but Adrianna would never go out to a party, she'd be too busy helping our mother, Ida Scott, with her shop in town.
Hey, Adrian. Wanna go out to a party? ~ Adrianna.
She always wrote with proper wording and grammar, unlike most at her side of popularity. I adored it, she kept her brains and flaunted her beauty, I know most girls should look up to her and even some guys. Especially those wanting to hook up with her as they say. I then decided to reply back, making sure to keep her satisfied.
Yeah, when will it be? - Adrian.
It's at ten tonight, don't be late. ~ Adrianna.Ten tonight? That's not too late, but I was curious as to when it shall end and where it would even be. Hopefully there will be a someone old enough, besides the two of us, to watch over the other kids attending this party. We may be eighteen, but sometimes that gets to us and we act more like children. I hate those times.
What time will it end and where is it? - Adrian.
It ends at around 2 a.m. and the location is at the school, I made sure to at least have two of the teachers around. ~ Adrianna.
Good, I don't want to get into trouble, not like last time we went to a party... Remember that? - Adrian.Oh man, that party was just horrible. Everyone was drunk out of their minds, fights breaking out, the cops being called and I was arrested for trying to help a kid out. It was taken care of and I was let free, but never will I forget at how bad that other kids was beat up. I just really have a lot of hate towards people who just don't know how to act properly.
Oh yeah! Oh my gosh... I cannot believe you got arrested for helping that gay boy! What they did to him wasn't right! ~ Adrianna.
Hey, don't forget what I am and that word is just a label, we can like who and what gender we want. - Adrian.
Yeah, yeah, yeah. I know, but still, I don't know his name! ~Adrianna.
Get to know it, he's not a bad kid. - Adrian. After that she didn't reply, maybe because she was picked up by her friends and went off to the school a little earlier than all the rest of us to prepare for the try-outs today. She's a judge and wants to work on assessing, just so she doesn't sound too rude, but she will try to be at least a bit more blunt. Wow, she so isn't the typical Cheerleader what so ever, I admire that about her. And being her twin, that counts a whole lot.
I then set my phone onto the end table and rose to my feet, making my way slowly over to the large mirror that hung in my closet and took a good look at myself. Damn... Not to be boasting, but I look hot. Even with bed head. I might not brush my hair today, let it be all ol' natural. Thank goodness I don't have to get to school till around eight. I glanced at the clock and smiled; I have around half an hour till I have to get ready. Might as well look for something nice to wear.
Searching through most of what I own, I had found what I love to wear the most, and not to sound like a girl, but I love fashion. Who wouldn't? They're a pair of tight jeans, rainbow converses, a tie-dye button up and my leather jacket. A small nod made it's way as I checked myself out for the day, running a hand through my hair and felt like I had accomplished something, which wasn't much. "Damn... I look way to hot for my own good." I said to myself, then I heard laughing in the other room and guess that my mother must've heard.
"You can say that again, hun." She said and leaned against the doorway with her arms folded over her chest. I sighed lightly and smiled, she's so beautiful. She has dirty blonde hair with golden highlights, bright green eyes with specks of blue around the irises, and stands at most 5' 8". "I know you're just saying that cause I look just like you do." I retorted back to her, she couldn't help but smile at me.
"I know, but you so got your father's spirit." She sighed a bit sadly, my father passed away when my sister and I were only five years old, she's been raising us on her own since then. It makes me wonder at how she could stand being single and raise us without any troubles, yet again, she is a very intelligent woman. She's proven that plenty of times.
"I know I do, which makes it seem like he's still here with us, right Ma?" She nodded her head and walked up to me, giving me a hug.
"If only I could talk to your sister the way I talk with you. It would mean the world to me to have this conversation with the two of you instead of just you all the time, Adrian." She looked down a bit and I lifted up her head, I stood at most four inches taller than her.
"Adrianna will talk like this one day, she's still not used to the idea of talking about a man she hasn't really known, she doesn't remember him like I do." I said to her and she nuzzled into my hand a bit, her stunning eyes looking into my own.
"She will, but you must help her out. Help her remember." She responded and headed out the door, then stopped in the hall and told for me to finish up and make my bed before getting to school. I only chuckled and got down to it, then went to my car and hopped inside. The ride to school was quiet, I didn't even bother to turn on the radio. I just had so much on my mind, it's like mother and I only have this bond while my twin just wants to act as if there was never a time our father had been in our lives. I know she remembers him, but I guess each of us take our grief differently and she chose to push it aside and live on.
