I walk in to the gym, looking for a face without realizing it. I see Anna, waving me over to the bleachers. After checking in with Savannah, my counselor, I head over. I am a Junior Counselor here at Camp Fun, so I don't have to do the team building activities in the morning. As time goes on, more Junior Counselors come over. First comes Alysseta, then Marco, Zachary, Louis, and James come over. Everyone starts talking about different things at once. Somehow, the topic of what I did last afternoon comes up between Anna and I. I tell her about truth or dare, how I dared Mike to act like a cat for 10 minutes, how I was forced to ask Nico, a camper going into 2nd grade, out.
"You like him, don't you?" Anna asks quietly after I end. She has a mischievous look in her eye that I don't like.
"What?" I ask. What in the world is she talking about? I told her that I was trying to get over Zachary, a different one than the one at camp, who was moving schools next year.
"Mike! You like him!" Anna says quickly.
"No, I don't." Thankfully, the boys start to get reckless, so her attention is adverted as I realize that what she says just might be true.
