<Chapter 10>

Darkest Is The New Stain

Headlines like that have been going around since my last two attacks.

"...randomly injuring heroes with no motive-Darkest's identity is still remaining unknown..."

The heroes have been scrambling to find out my identity. It's funny.

"...he just appears and disappears..."

Because you don't bother to look around.

Right now I was on my way to a meeting with the heroes. Even though I left the hero game they still think I could be a big help. I wouldn't want to go; but I'll get information. 

The meeting was in a huge room with two long interjoing table. Around the table were various heroes. All of my classmates were there. Kids from my school but not in my class were there too.

Tetsutetsu, Shiozaki, Mei, even Shinso was there. Most people ignored me when I walked in but I saw Shinsou glance up. I just gave him a smile and he looked away. We all sat down and looked at All Might who was at the head of the table. 

"Welcome everyone," he started, "we are gather here to discuss this villain on a rampage in our city. If you have any insight on Darkest, or ideas on how to capture this man; share." then he glanced at an empty seat at the table. 

Best Jeanist's seat.

"All that we know is he has a very powerful quirk." Endeavor said bitterly, "It would've taken a lot of strength to take down my building's pillars." he glanced toward Todoroki who nodded, confirming. 

"From analyzing the news film," started Mei, "We could tell he was over five feet tall but under six feet." 

"So basically he's the average height of any male." Kacchan spat. Mei looked down.

"Hey! It's still useful!" Jiro yelled out. 

"Yes, any information is useful." Tokoyami pushed. Soon people were arguing. Over if the little information was useful or not. People were yelling out different things, like height, his green eyes and that he didn't have deep voice. Or high voice. 

Average looking probably. 

Soon all the noise died down and everyone was looking around. Trying to somehow find an answer to what's been happening. There was a heavy tension in the room. Everything was silent. No one dared to say anything.

Hilarious...

"Well this meeting was useless." Kacchan broke the silence. I saw a few glares towards him, but also a few nods.

"We have to find a way to prevent these attacks." Momo said.

"But how?" Mineta asked.

"We should set up a system." Todoroki suggested, a few people stared, "Like a communication system in case he's spotted. So a top level pro hero could come to the scene and take care of him. Like when Izuku sent out a signal to our phones when Stain attacked." 

People nodded.

"That's a pretty good idea, ribbit." Tsu said. Other people agreed. Everybody then pulled out their phones. 

"There's an app..." Iida started before explaining the app that could send a signal to each of our phone with a location. Only between this group. 

I got the app. 

"We can send an announcement so that the public can get this. Still just sending the signal to us." Iida said and everyone nodded.

"Sounds like a plan." All Might announced, "Thank you Tenya Iida." 

Soon the meeting ended. At 6 p.m. tonight the announcement will be sent out. Everybody then left.

"We're having another party," I turned to see Kacchan behind me, "It's at Yaororozu's estate. So it'll be fun." 

"Sure!" I said. 

I then went home and waited. Soon I decided to leave. It was around nine and everybody was already heading over. The announcement had already gone out. So I just walked with Kacchan who I ran into on the way there. We walked to Momo's gigantic home. Everyone that was in our grade in UA and at the meeting was going.

When we arrived at the gates they quickly opened and we were let in. We went into her house and Kacchan went one way while I went the other. I ended up into some sort of a living room where there was a few people. There must be tons of rooms like this; so no reason for everyone to be gathered in one. It was pretty quiet in here. I liked it. 

I sat on the red couch. On the other side of the couch was Shinso. There were two other people whose names I didn't know. 

"Hey, Izuku." Shinso said.

"Hi!" I said, smiling. 

God I hated all this smiling.

"So, where did you disappear to?" he asked.

"Just here and there. I need a break, it was getting stressful." I lied.

"Being a hero is pretty stressful." he agreed.

The two other people then left the room. Leaving me and Shinso alone. I gave him a side glance but he had pulled out his phone and was scrolling through it. I pull my own phone, I pull my legs up on the couch and get more comfortable by laying down with my knees bent.

I just scroll through news web pages. They were mainly talking about the app.

"Hey, wanna leave this place?" I look up at Shinso who had put down his phone. 

"Sure, it's boring here." with that we both stood up and walked out. Ignoring people waving and trying to say hi. We both soon made it out of Momo's estate.

We both began wandering down the street not really knowing where to go.  

"Wanna go somewhere?" Shinso asked after we had walked a block in almost complete silence. 

"You pick." I said, not really caring.

"Let's just head to the park, it's late so no one will be there." Shinso suggested.

"Sure."  with that we began our mile long walk to the park. Soon we made it and it was almost completely dark except for street lamps and lights on buildings nearby. Shinsou walked farther into the park to where there were woods. He waved me over and I followed him. 

Soon the tree parted and there was a field that went up to a slightly hill. Shinso walked over to it and fell back onto the ground. I walk next to him and stretch out my arms and fall backwards next to him.

"Oof." I say when I hit the soft ground. I then just stare up at the starry sky. I look over to Shinso who was doing the same thing. 

I took a deep breath, and exhaled. This was nice. It was like all the tension and stress of setting up all my attack just left me. Shinso was quiet, but not an awkward quiet. 

Kacchan was loud, so there wasn't really too much silence with him. Todoroki was quiet but not this quiet. 

It was nice. 

For once in a long time I actually felt calm. 

Calm...
