The night was long, and winter was clearly here as the bitterly cold air swirled under the darkness of the night sky. As the two parents tried to sleep, ready for the morning when they will finally be reunited, a thought came to the man's head,' what if they didn't just kidnap her, what if she isn't even alive, what if we turn up tomorrow and we have nothing but more disappointment.' He kept these thoughts to him self, not wanting to worry his already fragile wife. He lay awake on the bed, staring at the ceiling, until his eyes slowly closed and he drifted into a deep sleep.
The next morning the two woke early so they could get their daughter before anyone went anywhere. As they walked up to the house, the wife reached for her husband's hand and immediately intertwined her fingers with his. The police officer that accompanied them knocked on the door. Within seconds a nervous man opened the door. Immediately the officer identified the male by the triangular scar located on his chin, this is where she is.
The panicked man asked as to why the police were there, they replied "We are here about a young girl that lives here." The man's face went white, to looked to the left if the officer and recognised to the couple. They were there for her.
"I'm sorry officer I don't know what you are talking about, I don't have a daughter." The officer saw though his lies and stepped inside the property.
Unknown pov
I've done it I'm finally free. I found some money that managed to take me a few hours away from that horrid place. Now I just have to find somewhere to stay the rest of the night.
Normal pov
"Where is she? We know she lives at this address.?". "I'm sorry officer you will have elaborate, who is She?" He said in a smug tone as he glared at the couple almost in tears. Then it went silent, and the husband let go of his wife's hand and approached the horrid scum and taking hold of the short man's shirt, "We know what you did, now give her back....we just want her back." His tone quickly turned from angry and threatening to the tone of a weak and fragile person, begging for their life. The man coward backwards and before he could speak a woman came out from behind him and slapped the depersate father across the face as she screamed, "No one touches my husband!" The viciousness in the way she spoke was very clear. She was quickly pounced on by a police officer and taken away from the situation.
The man approached the couple and said "If I knew where she was I would tell you." Confusion filled the room, "What do you mean?" The officer asked curiously. "She ran away in the night, we went to check on the her this morning and everything was gone and the money left on the side had disappeared as well, we have no idea where she went, all I know is that money won't have taken her much further than a few hours away from here."
