I have received some of your ratings and started recording them on my laptop, and I was really suprised to what was their result.
Some participants got a lower score on their grammar and I really don't understand why. Don't get me wrong, everyone is entitled to express their thoughts and opinions regarding to a certain template of their work and NO, i'm not demanding or forcing every single of you to change your ratings.
I just want to clarify to each one of you – with all honesty, grammar doesn't really matter to me unless it gets to the way where we couldn't understand it (bc let's all admit it that english isn't our native language) and some of the participants, probably joined to ask for a feedback or a review regarding to their story. (and let's all be honest to ourselves that we sucked at english on the first place and that is something we shouldn't be ashame of. Why? Because I believe that practice makes it better.)
^ there's no such thing as perfect.
I was really suprised how the results turned out, some judges gave them a lower score in their grammar and those stories that I am referring to are the stories I have criticized already. They have a good grammar and right choice of words, may it be a simplest words or flowery words.
For example: doremisofuckingdonewithyou used the right choice of flowery words that fitted their sentences, with the right used of past/present/future principles, figurative speech, personification, metaphor, simile, hyperbole and etc.
havanaohnana, on the other hand, used the right choice of words that were too simple yet the readers clearly understand where the story flows, havana also used the right choice of present/past/future and so on, and so fourth.
I just want to remind all of you that flowery words/deep words are similar to simplest words, except people rarely use it and has deeper meaning yet they are all the same. So? There's no difference between them.
