Chapter 2

I see a bunch of people with their own groups of friends, and they are all staring at me. I hear someone say "look at that new girl." and someone else say "yeah, she's kind of ugly." I decide to just ignore it. Christina grabs my arm and pulls me to a group of people talking.

"Hi guys, this is Tris" Christina says, I get a bunch of 'hi's' and 'hello's' from everyone. "Okay since you guys won't introduce yourselves I will, this is Marlene, Shauna, Lynn, Al and Will." She says. I say hi to everyone. I stay with them for a while and talk, they're really nice and I am happy I've already found some friends.

"Sorry guys, but I have to get my schedule I'll talk to you later, bye." I say and leave and I can hear them say 'bye' and 'see ya' behind me so I wave. I walk up to the principles office and she is on the computer. She looks up and smiles "you must be Beatrice Prior, your hear for your schedule right?" She says, I look at her name tag 'Ms Matthews' interesting "yes and it's just Tris now" I say "Very well Tris here is your schedule and a Map of the school" she says I thank her and head out of her office.

I walk and look at my schedule,

Period 1: English

Period 2: Maths

Period 3: Gym

Lunch

Period 4: Art

Period 5: Music

I look at my map and I bump into something, I fall down and my books go flying. I look up and see a tall boy with brown hair and ocean blue eyes, I get up. "Sorry" I say "my bad" he says and I can't help but smile, he helps me grab my books.

"Your new here, right?"

"Yeah, is it obvious?"

"A little bit" he says. I giggle a little, that's weird I never giggle. He gives me a smirk and says "welcome to dauntless" and he walks off. I find myself staring at him for a little too long and I realise everyone is staring at me, I hate being the centre of attention. I look away and find myself blushing a little, do I like him? NO, I can't I only just met him.

I finally find my first class and I'm late, luckily I'm new so I don't get in trouble for It "you must be Beatrice" the teacher says I nod and say "it's just Tris"

"class this is our new student Tris, you may sit down now"

I see that boy that I saw earlier talking to some other guy I don't know, he looks up and sees me and winks at me and I can't help but blush a little, I also see Christina, so I go and sit down next to her.
