*2 months later*
I turned my head, only to find a sleeping Adym, I felt my unsatisfied stomach growl as I turned. I groaned not really wanting to get out of bed. I sighed, forcing myself to get out of bed anyway, I kissed Adyms head before getting up. I walked down the stairs, surprised when I didn't see an empty living room, instead, I saw Layla sitting on the couch, playing with her baby.
"Bestfriend," I laughed, she ran over to me and I laughed, hugging her back as she hugged me tightly. "I haven't heard from you since, around a month ago," I stated. She smiled, knowing the last time I saw her was at my parents funeral. I looked over, running over to Lisa and smiling, hugging the baby close to me. Playing with my lips causing her to laugh. I smiled over at a smiling Layla.
"Nice lack of pants," She laughed, I shrugged and we both looked up as Adym came down the stairs. I shook my head, laughing as my boyfriend turned around, probably to put some clothes on.
"What's up girly?" I asked, taking a seat on the sofa, she sat next to me, I turned my body to face her. I knew there was a reason she was here, she doesn't normally show up like this. The look in her eye, there was something wrong, and she was exactly the straight forward type. "What happened Layla?" I said, with a demanding tone. She looked up at me and back down at the ground.
"Anthony left me, and I don't exactly have a place to stay or anybody to look after Lisa," She finally admitted. I gave her a sad smile, setting Lisa down on the carpet to crawl around. I embraced my best friend in a hug. I felt her sigh in my ear, "I don't know what to do"
I rubbed my best friends shoulder, comforting her. "You can stay here for as long as you need, and I'm sure Adym would be willing to keep an eye on my goddaughter alright?" I told her, she nodded and I gave her another hug. I smiled, thinking of something we could do to try and make her feel better. "Ady-" I yelled but I was cut off by the one and only.
"Jesus women I'm right here, no need to yell," He laughed, I laughed with him, he hopped down the stairs. "What's up pretty lady"
"Would you like to watch Lisa while I and Layla go out and have a little girls day?" I asked him, his eyes lit up, telling me that he'd be willing to do it. Adym picked Lisa up and ran upstairs with her, leaving me and Layla both laughing. "What do you want to do?" I asked my best friend.
"I have no clue, anything, let's go do stupid shit, let's go do ANYTHING" She pleaded, I laughed, running up the stairs to find Adym playing with Lisa, he's always had a soft spot for kids. Especially at the chance that the kid could be his one day, I smiled at the two of them and grabbed a pair of leggings and a camo lastfam T-shirt. I grabbed a brush, running the quils through my hair.
I ran back down the steps, and grabbed Layla's hand, running out and hopping in the jeep, the roof was off so I drove while Layla stood up, letting the wind fly through her hair. I laughed, blasting music on the radio. We laughed, screaming song lyrics. While we were driving we just so happened to pull up next to a convertible.
"Madison? Madison Richardson is that you!?" I looked at the guy, confused and my eyes widened in realization.
"Oh! Playboy Cameron Carter! Fuck you!" I yelled in reply, me and Layla laughed as we drove off, we flipped him off as he flipped us off. We laughed in the parking lot Walmart. We got out of the jeep running in there. I grabbed a cart, steering through, we went to the toilet paper aisle. I recorded her on snap chat, getting in, people staring as she got out. I sent it to Adym, laughing at his reply to him and Lisa laughing together. I grabbed my best friends hand and a cart, grabbing plenty of toilet paper. "Trust me, were going to do something, and we might end up being taken home by the police"
