(Third Person)
In Africa, the alpha met three healers, Kun, Jio and Karrissa. They had looked after him and wounds, ensuring that he was alright.
Now, they rushed over his body, trying to revive him.
"The only way to get him back his to make him forget." Karrissa sighed, putting a damp cloth over his head.
"Or we bring the young girl back." Kun said.
Jio shook his head sadly. "It is not right. It would confuse his wolf for him to go through much pain and then to see there was no reason."
"So what do we do?" Karrissa asked.
"We make him forget." Jio answered. "We give him fake memories, clear his mind, make it a new one. Erase all the pain. We take the love and replace it with hate and he shall know no fear."
Karrissa glared at her brother. "Then we aren't curing him, we're cooking him. We're making a leader that doesn't exist."
"He will exist."
"You're a monster."Kun said. "But there is no other way."
"What do we do with the girls body?" Karrissa questioned.
"You dispose of it. We'll get some herbs for Master Blake." Jio commanded.
Karrissa nodded and went outside.
Kerryns body was covered in hide from a wolf, a tradition in this land. to signify her wolf living on, protecting her soul.
She picked up the limp body and carried it down a path, ignoring the stares and whispers.
When she reached a river, she uncovered the body.
Then, suddenly, she felt something. Something so tiny, she almost missed it. A spark of life from the dead girl.
"You're still there."
She felt it again.
"You have angel blood." Karrissa whispered, she knelt down by Kerryn and looked at her face. "A child not of the moon, but of the stars."
Karrissa rolled Kerryn over and removed the knife from her back.
"Return again child, and watch over our pack, stay strong in the night, and come forth in the day..."
Karrissa took the knife and using the blade, cut the shape of a star in the crook of her neck.
There was another glint, a spark, sharper this time. Then it left.
"Be strong." Karrissa said. Then, she pushed the body into the river and watched as Kerryn, a Child of the Stars, drift away.
"Karrissa." A strong voice came behind her.
Karrissa turned and saw Alpha Blake. "What is it?" She shivered for a moment.
"Quit dawdling by the river, come, we have plans to make."
Karrissa looked at Blake for a moment, hoping for at least a bit of recognition from the events prior to his awakening. None.
"As you wish." She said.
She got up from the river, turning to where she had let Kerryn go before following Blake back to camp.
