Kerryn's POV

Blake, Veressa, Jonathan, Angels, werewolves, vampires... it all spins around in my mind. It's hard to comprehend, it's hard to understand. You know, I've had a lot of grief in my life. And even in death it's still there.
'Well at least if Blake and Veressa fall in love, he'll have someone.' I say to no one in particular.
'Oh sweetheart, you're going to give up so easily? I thought you were stronger than that.'
I turn around, 'go away Jonathan.'
He smiles down, 'I don't want to.'
'What happened to Mr Angel dude?' I asked.
'He's off his shift, Kerryn, now, where do you want to go from here?'
'Go from where? Africa, no way, I'm staying right here.'
'To do what?'
'Wallow in my sorrows for all eternity, you dumb-ass.'
'Don't criticize me, Kerryn.'
'Well, I will until you stop following me.'
I turn to continue but stop. Ahead of me there are three glowing lights, huge, circular lights... they ring with some substance... I recognized it, but can't remember why.
'Jonathan, what are these?' I asked, not turning away from the circles.
'They are called choice rings, in your journey in becoming an angel you will be given five sets of these, these ones contain different places, one will take you to your former pack in America, one will take you to the gates of Hell and the other will take you to Italy.'
I look at him, 'Italy?'
'Where the vampire nation lies. I am not telling you which circle leads to which, but each contains a decision and a sacrifice. You can only choose one, if you truly are destined to become an angel, you will choose the right one.'
'What if I don't want to choose?' I ask, my voice held fear.
'Then I will have to kill you, Kerryn Stone.'
I gulp.
I look at the circles. They are identicle... scary and forboding circles with some sort of light within that sort of draws you...
'I don't want to, kill me, Jonathan, please.'
'No. Choose Kerryn.'
'I want to go home.'
'Your home is in one of these circles. You have to find it yourself.'
I close my eyes, 'I don't want to, Jonathan.'
'I don't care. Choose.'
I open my eyes and look at the circles. 'The middle one. It's a bit brighter than the rest.' And it is. The glow around it gives off more of a yellowy cream look... it's weird, but it's all I got.
'Go ahead, Kerryn, I'll follow you.'
I step towards the circle. 'Here goes nothing.' I jump in.

Silence.

Silence.

Silence.

Then a scream.
