Chapter 2: Chess and Butlers

Black Butler:

"Checkmate Ciel!" Alois announced. The two have been playing chess for a while now. Alois Trancy, the queen's spider, won. He was over Ciel Phantomhive's mansion. Ciel just sighed, annoyed.

"Your highness, I have received a letter." Claude, Alois's butler, said. Alois put his hand out and Claude carefully placed the letter in his hand. Alois read the letter.

The 14 year old's eyes widened. "Japan?! This doesn't only address me, it addresses Sebastian and Ciel as well!" That caught Ciel's attention.

"Let me check, My Lord." Sebastian said calmly and took the letter from Alois. Claude shot him a glare, but Sebastian shrugged it off. The demon read the letter as well. "Oh, he doesn't mean we're criminals. He wants the Queen's Guard Dog and Spider to come and help solve the Kira Case. But we will be surrounded by dangerous criminals." The butler handed the letter to Ciel. Then, he read it.

"Well, I have no problem going. Trancy, will you be joining?"

"Yes Ciel!" Alois replied. "Claude, we must leave immediately! I have to get ready!" Alois ran our of the mansion and into the carriage outside.

"Meet at the train station at 5?" Claude asked.

"See you there." Sebastian replied.
